I hope your not being serious. If you are - wow.Anyone who picks Law is stupid. Law's a solid player, but Conley is a freaking star in the making. A mix of TP9 and CP3. Law came on with some big shots last year, and is a great leader, but really is smaller then Conley I believe and doesn't have a great shot either. Conley is a better passer, and probably a better slasher. Law may be more polished, but it's not like Conley ISN'T polished. It's really a no brainer for me. Mike Conley, Jr.

Don't let people lie to you about this stuff, and who they will turn out to be. They will both be good in my opinion, just different types of point guards. Law has every bit the ability to be a good player, just like Conley does. Conley will be the better distrubutor no doubt in my mind about it. Not to say Law won't be a good distrubutor, I just don't see him being the same type of passer as Conley. I think Conley's passing, speed, ability to get into the lane and to the basket, as well as his ability to sneak up because of his speed and get steals from bigger players makes him kind of like a TJ Ford and Chris Paul mix. He will be perfect for an up tempo team like the Grizzlies should be and able to push the ball in transition because of his speed, as well as be very good at the kick out in the half court because of his ability to drive and cause defenders to collapse. So as a ball distrubuting point guard, I think he is the better of the two. That's why I think he would have been better for Atlanta because I felt they needed the better distrubuting point guard, in Conley. However, Law could very easily become a better player, alot in the same mold as Chauncey Billups. Billups while being a good passer, up until this season has not been a huge playmaker assist man. However, he is constantly one of the best point guards in the league despite that. He has a very solid shot from anywhere on the floor no matter what his shooting motion looks like, has pretty good size at the point guard spot, will step up and makehuge shots down the stretch and shoulder a scoring load late in games if needed. I see him being alot like Chauncey Billups to me, except maturing as a passer alot sooner than Billups, because he is better at passing at this point in his career than Billups was as a rookie.

I'll say Acie. His leadership skills are what set him apart. He could be the most clutch player in this draft. He may not have the greatest statistics, but I guarantee the Hawks will win quicker than the Grizzlies.

Ive realisticly havent seen enough of both, about two games of each. But I think Acie Law is going to be a good player. He can become a Bibby type as far as being a scoring PG but able to distribute. If anything, hes going to become a very good vet and the type to come right in and make good decisions and be a clutch player. As for Conley, hes the opposite as far as style. Hes a true PG but he has the potential to become a good scorer. One thing they both have in common is both being clutch...Acie more than Conley...but both are defiently late game players. I wouldnt be suprised to see Law be more successful before Conley, but I expect both to be very good and smart players in the NBA.

I think ATL will be alot better next season, but Memphis' season last year was a fluke caused by injuries and front office troubles. All is straighten out and I expect the Griz to be above the .500 mark. And Conley is also a tremendous leader from what the people close to Ohio St. say....

There is no way you should be able to say that Conley is easily ahead of Law. Like said before, Acie was a great leader at Texas A&M (very important attribute in a PG) and was the most NBA-ready point guard in the draft. His potential might be slighted because he was a 4 year player or so, but you almost can't miss with taking an NBA-ready point in the draft. With that said, I would take Law over Conley because of his readiness. Of course, that would depend on what team I am drafting for. The Hawks needed a guy to step in and be able to bind these young guns together now sooner than later; Conley would not have been able to do that. I don't care what you say; he's only one year out of HS and is playing the hardest and probably the most important position in basketball. He got some experience running an offense at O-State and did go far with them, but Law has seen many many more defenses and offensive playsets and just understands basketball better than Conley because of this experience. Conley is an amazing talent but he's just not ready to make an impact right now. Maybe in the future, yes, and yes I would definitely take him over Law for a team that is just beginning the rebuilding process. But, with a team like Atlanta, taking Acie was necessary.

I think Mike Conley is clearly the better player, look at where he was development wise compared to Law when Conley played 3 years less competitive basketball....If Mike Conley was a senior this year, this would not even be debatable. Conley's a better passer, athlete, quickness, court awareness. I agree with Valo that Law will be a fantastic player and just because he was not the biggest distributor, doesn't mean he won't be a great PG, at Texas AM Law was asked to be the main scorer, he's obviously not going to be a 9 assist guy, but put him with a team where he doesn't have to be the guy, he'll be fine. He reminds me of Cassell/Billups a lot.
