Later this (Tuesday) evening, the NCAA selection committee will release their initial football rankings. I was curious, and thought it might be fun, to post our Top 10 predictions here. I'm thinking that the 3 potential debatable selections could be Alabama, Penn State, and Minnesota. Here's mine: 1) LSU 2) Ohio State 3) Clemson 4) Georgia 5) Alabama 6) Oregon 7) Utah 8) Minnesota 9) Penn State 10) Oklahoma
Watch Georgia win out, including the SEC title game, and then the committee has no choice but to exclude Alabama, as well as both the Big12 and Pac12 champs.

I'm in Georgia and I have followed The Dogs for many years. They're a good team this year but IMO, not quite as strong as they've been during the previous 2 years. And while I'd obviously like to seem them win out, realistically I don't see it happening. They still have to play at Auburn which is never an easy task. And they'd also have to beat LSU in the SEC Championship game. And then if they survive those 2 games they'd still have to defeat 2 of possibly OSU, Clemson, LSU, Bama. FWIW, I don't believe UGA's Kirby Smart to be very "smart"...his poor in game coaching/play calling has cost the Dogs 2 National Championships in the last 2 years. (they had Bama by the throat both years and Smart's decision making let Bama go)
There are multiple "ranking", the ESPN, and AP and a few of them come out Sunday. The committee that picks playoff team's releases theirs on Tuesday Nights.
I saw some rankings that were called playoff rankings that had to first seven in exactly the order that ABM quoted. As the Three Stooges used to say, "One of us is crazy and it's not you."
I saw it on the sports news. Maybe it was an AP ranking that would be used as a part of the selection committee's ranking. That's all I can figure.
