So my current PCP hates Trump. I don't (btw I didn't vote for him in 2016 but will be in 2020 if anything just to spite the media...cry me a river). But I think he crossed a line recently when he told me at the end of a check up that he thinks Trump is a dumbass. I don't care who you are or what you do for a living, you don't bring politics into the workplace - even if it's your own business - and not expect some people to object. One of his first cousins is the head dean of the Washington national cathedral and is an adamant opponent of the prez. Needless to say, his publications to the cathedral website are overwhelmingly anti Trump. My doc recently printed and posted an article to his cork board in his patient room and so I read the whole thing. Here is the title page: The entire article can be read at https://cathedral.org/have-we-no-decency-a-response-to-president-trump.html If you read the whole thing, you'll find (if you're honest) that it's all subjective with no factual info. I will say that this doc is probably my fav doctor ever. He gives a shit about his patients and has always come of as a genuine guy and I trust his medical advice to the fullest. Still, I took issue with him putting this on display and took him to task on my most recent visit. He told me that it's "about not being a dick" to which I responded that it's all just subjective opinion and that you can't dictate to your patients what you think is right or wrong. It's a respectful disagreement, but I just don't think this belongs in a professional environment regardless of your beliefs. This is just one of many examples today that makes me mad that so many people think they have the moral high ground. I don't agree with everything the prez says and does, but his presidency is the best example of how ridiculously one-sided our country's thinking has become. Acting "presidential" is just a cop out for saying that political correctness is how things should go. This is why he got elected. The system created the Trump presidency and if you disagree then your head is stuck up your ass.
...Hmmm, you accuse others of not being willing to listen to others' opinions, yet you're doing the very same thing.
That is literally not true - there is factual information in it. For instance, the very first sentence. Do you think there is a moral high ground? Do you just disagree with what the moral high ground looks like, or do you think the entire concept is flawed? How is it one-sided if you think one thing and your doc thinks another? Aren't those two sides? Well, there's a well-reasoned argument. Hard to understand why no one wants to talk to you, isn't it? barfo
Completely different...besides, I'm not the one telling others how myopic they are. "...people who live in glass houses..."
no one cares if he acts “presidential”. We care if he acts like a complete Fucking idiot and lies his ass off every. Single. Day. Facts. You may like the lying and corruption, your doctor and I don’t. Hard to argue who is right and who is wrong.
Wait. So you're voting for Trump to spite the media... who you don't know... just to screw yourself and others over? Yeah. Sly is a smart dog...
To be fair, haven't all politicians and presidents before him done the same but just without the brashness?
Essentially a personal insult there. @SlyPokerDog And what do you mean "who you don't know"? Does personally knowing the media pundits who lie to us on a daily basis make a difference?
But he didn't use the green font. But no problem my friend, I will edit that part of his post so it says I'm a smart dog.
