I guess Elle showed the forun to CJ's girlfriend too. Nice to have a lot of Blazers and ex-Blazers girlfriends/wifes on here.

I wish Elle would post more, I miss her... understable that she has less to do on a Blazers board now though.

I never said CJ was a scrub. In fact I've said numerous times he could be great if he changed his game a little.

Kobe was a good passer. CJ has gotten worse every year since he's been a starter.

    These are just facts man.

he won the most improved player of the year a few years back and his stock is at an all time high this year (before this 10 game slump). The idea that he’s been getting worse is clearly wrong.

For someone who studied statistics it's fascinating that you can't disprove any stats I put or use any of your own to back up your points.

Your only comebacks are non-statistical based.

You just don't get it. Analytics are worthless.

To that end, I propose the Blazers fire their Analytics Team, and disperse half of the saved funds to loyal official s2 members - we ARE official, after all...
The Blazers save $$$, and us "experts" get some. Sounds like win-win :)

basketball stats outside of PPG are worth very little, that’s what you learn studying statistics.

Awards are much better indicators of success than cherry picked statistics about assists, etc. Awards are the product of every coach in the league voting, not just random stuff that amateurs find about measures that the players aren’t even trying for (e.g. assists).

this is what it sounds like when you’re out of arguments. Can’t explain how someone who won most improved player has “been getting worse since he first got in the starting lineup.” GG

    Fucking comprehend posts better.

I said he's gotten worse at passing since the year he became a starter (the year he won MIP). It's an irrefutable fact.

All this bickering must be the result of people feeling foolish for writing CJ off? Now that Dame has regressed to the norm and CJ has progressed (?) to the norm, and the game outcomes are pretty much the same, it's once again abundantly clear that we need both playing well for any kind of sustained success.

You mean, all that playoff data where CJ has been our best player, and where our win-loss record without Dame has been nearly as good as with him?

I have no issue with CJ but I would trade him for any of Otto Porter Jr, Bradley Beal, or (my #1 target) Jrue Holiday. I think any of those trades improve the Blazers in areas where they’re weak right now. In the case of Porter Jr, I would slide Hood to the 2 spot and play Porter Jr at the 3 leaving the Blazers with great size across the wings and front line following the return of Nurk and Collins.

Exaggeration and distortion. In that Denver series:

    TS: CJ .530....Dame .528
    points/shot: CJ 1.12....Dame 1.21

yeah, CJ was on fire and Dame was a no-show....geeeezuz, I can't believe you CJ honks think trashing Dame somehow strengthens your argument. It just looks so fucking stupid. By the way, in that game 7 when you say Dame was a no-show, he had 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, and only 1 turnover...LOL, no-show my ass

CJ scored 9 more points in the series but it took him 20 more shots to do so. And this was while the Nuggets were doing what just about every Blazer playoff opponent (except OKC) does and that's shift their defense to focus on Dame, leaving CJ single-covered. If it wasn't for Dame and Hood, the Blazers wouldn't have survived to a 7th game. And if it wasn't for Dame & Kanter plus the defense of Harkless, the Blazers might not have even made it to the 2nd round to begin with

and when the Blazers did make it to the WCF and the Warriors constantly double and triple teamed Dame, where was wondrous CJ then?

    TS: CJ .481....Dame .546
    FT%: CJ .647....Dame .885
    points/shot: CJ 1.05....Dame 1.27

for chrissakes, CJ took 14 more shots but actually scored 1 less point. And again, this was after the Warriors sold out their defense to shut down Dame and dared CJ and the rest of the Blazers to beat them. And of course, they couldn't get it done once

nobody is arguing that CJ didn't have a great game 7. But the reality is that was just one of 16 playoff games, and for the other 15 games, Dame was much better

The reality is that CJ isn’t going anywhere until at least Dec. 15th. How about parking this endless, yet useless, debate for the next few weeks and see if the Blazers can get things headed the right direction?
