If Carmelo keeps balling like this, there's no way we can keep him this summer right?
    We can't offer a MIN salary guy a 10 Million$ contract right?

Its not even about that. I remember that you can't extend a player with a contract much larger than his previous 1 year contract.

We won’t have enough room anyway bc we need to sign our #1 draft pick from the draft!

It’s crazy how our rough start seems to have turned out to be a blessing. We likely wouldn’t have signed Anthony if we didn’t struggle. Now we have a solid veteran that’s gonna help our team innumerable ways.

Melo is a great leader. It’s good to have someone that is older than Dame that has accomplished more than Dame. Dame is a great, great, great leader but he doesn’t have that 40 year old wisdom quite yet - and someone like Tolliver simply isn’t going to be a leader. Anthony is replacing Gasol seemlessly.

Id use “accomplished more” lightly. He’s done more (Olympics) but they’ve both made it to the WCF 1x.

Meh. Melo is a first ballot hall of famer. It’s not clear if Dame is a hall of famer yet at all. Melo has accomplished more.

I still think Melo was Olshey's plan anywayz. With knowing he's not going nowhere Golden just kept him waiting to make him humble and to accept lesser role. (Humble Melo wouldn't like to lose his job again, but man, his big ego is going out anyway. Even when asked about fans "Melo chant" he responded talking bout himself and how good he is:))

Um after we win in June, we’re retiring Melo’s jersey someday.

Melo isn’t taking Nas’ playing time sir. Talking about the Euro and Tolliver.

Let me get this straight: Melo responded to a question about the crowd chanting Melo by talking about Melo? Go figure.

A classier more diplomatic response would have been to instead talk about how great the fans are, and express his appreciation for their support. A person's response in that situation says a lot about their personality and character IMO.

Finally got to watch a Melo game. You know what I am reminded of? Charles Barkley in Houston (not as slow as the last year or two when Charles was just standing there in the post feeling the defense) - but the same kind of thing - which is not a bad thing for this team - as it is clearly something they have not had since the LMA days.
