Sparty falls after 12-men flag negates tying FG

Eno Benjamin reached the ball to the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds remaining, and Arizona State beat No. 18 Michigan State 10-7 on Saturday after the Spartans had a tying field goal negated for having too many men on the field.

Huntley, Moss Lead No. 11 Utah over Idaho State, 31-0

Tyler Huntley and No. 11 Utah didn't use much of the playbook as the Utes romped through the nonconference season. They did put Pac-12 defenses on notice Saturday with a long passing game to compliment the ground-and-pound of Zack Moss.

In the first quarter of Utah's 31-0 victory over Idaho State, Huntley approached speedster Bryan Thompson on the sideline and said a call was coming that would allow him to shine.

Backup QB Fink shines as USC stuns No. 10 Utah

Matt Fink decided to stay at Southern California even after finishing third in the Trojans' four-man quarterback competition in training camp last month.

A few weeks later, Fink found himself passing for 351 yards, leading a victory over No. 10 Utah at the roaring Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and sitting between Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart for a postgame interview on national television.

Fink didn't give up on his USC dream, and the Trojans are grateful they had such a talented backup to their backup.

No. 22 Washington dominates BYU for 45-19 victory

Winning games with elite defense is second nature to Washington. The Huskies are quickly silencing doubters who expected them to take a step back this season.

Relentless defensive pressure and efficient offense blended together perfectly for No. 22 Washington in a 45-19 victory over BYU on Saturday. The Huskies forced three BYU turnovers and scored a pair of touchdowns off those defensive plays.

No. 23 California holds on to defeat Mississippi 28-20

California linebacker Evan Weaver finished with 22 tackles Saturday against Mississippi. The last one was the most important.

Weaver tackled Ole Miss quarterback John Rhys Plumlee for no gain at the 1-yard line as time expired to preserve No. 23 Cal's 28-20 victory over the Rebels. Weaver crashed hard from the right flank, wrapped up Plumlee and stopped his progress as help arrived to finish the play.

Arizona State beats No. 15 California 24-17

For a team filled with young players at key spots, Arizona State has a knack at performing at its best in the toughest situations.

Eno Benjamin scored his third touchdown of the game on a 3-yard run with 4:41 remaining, and Arizona State beat No. 15 California 24-17 on Friday night for its second road win of the season against a ranked team.

Huntley leads No. 19 Utah past Washington State 38-13

A week after limping off the Los Angeles Coliseum field defeated and hurt, Tyler Huntley felt as if he was walking on air as he skipped off the wet turf at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Huntley, who was rumored to be a game-time decision, passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more, powering No. 19 Utah over Washington State 38-13 in the rain on Saturday night.

Scarlett's career day helps Stanford beat No. 15 Washington

Cameron Scarlett had the best day of his career, yet all Stanford coach David Shaw wanted to talk about was the fifth-year senior's blocking on a pass play early in the second quarter that led to a Cardinal touchdown.

"That was the biggest challenge we gave Cam this year, was that he needs to be a great pass protector," Shaw said. "We're faking on the left side and the safety blitz came on the right and Cam came all the way down and made a great block and allowed us to get that ball off. I can't say enough about where Cam Scarlett is right now. Just playing such great football."

Scarlett rushed for a career-high 157 yards and a touchdown, quarterback Davis Mills had another impressive game in place of injured starter K.J. Costello before apparently getting hurt himself, and Stanford pulled off its biggest win of the season, stunning No. 15 Washington 23-13 on Saturday night.

No. 18 Arizona State rallies to beat Washington State 38-34

Arizona State's defense limited the damage of a late shanked punt, holding Washington State to a field goal and a three-point lead.

That set the stage for Jayden Daniels.

The unflappable freshman quarterback has thrived in late moments like these through his first season and added another highlight to his resume, capping a calm-and-collected drive by spinning off a defender into the end zone for the winning touchdown.

Daniels scored on a 17-yard scramble with 34 seconds left and threw three touchdown passes to ailing Brandon Aiyuk, leading No. 18 Arizona State to a 38-34 comeback victory on Saturday.

Moss sets record, leads No. 13 Utah past No. 17 Arizona St

With its star running back and quarterback knocked out of the game in the first half, No. 13 Utah's hopes for a special season seemed as dim as the dark clouds around Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday night.

The rain kept falling but the mood changed considerably, with Zack Moss returning to score two touchdowns and break the school rushing record and Tyler Huntley playing long enough to steady the Utes in a 21-3 victory over No. 17 Arizona State.

USC roars to a 35-31 comeback win over Colorado

USC's fabulous freshman kept the Trojans unbeaten against Colorado.

Freshman Kedon Slovis threw for 406 yards and four TD passes, including scores of 44 and 37 yards to Michael Pittman Jr . in the fourth quarter, and Southern California escaped Folsom Field with a 35-31 win Friday night over the hard-luck Buffaloes, who fell to 0-14 against the Trojans.

Kelley has career-high 4 TDs, UCLA beats No. 24 Arizona St.

UCLA coach Chip Kelly has often said that when running back Joshua Kelley plays well, the Bruins have a shot of winning.

The senior running back had a career night Saturday, which is why the Bruins were able to beat a Top 25 team for the second time this season. Kelley scored a career-high four touchdowns and rushed for 164 yards in UCLA's 42-32 victory over 24th-ranked Arizona State.

No. 8 Utah routs UCLA 49-3 to improve to 9-1

Utah dominated yet another opponent on both sides of the ball.

The No. 8 Utes smothered UCLA on offense and shredded the Bruins on defense on their way to a 49-3 victory on Saturday night.

Moss leads No. 7 Utah over Arizona 35-7

Zack Moss was barreling through the line for big gains nearly every time he touched the ball. Tyler Huntley's passing was almost flawless. Utah's defense was dominant, making one of the Pac-12's top rushing teams look extremely average.

    Another weekend, another blowout.

And now, Utah is the last team standing in the Pac-12's quest for a spot in the College Football Playoff after crushing Arizona 35-7 on Saturday night.

Slovis throws for record 515 yards, USC holds off UCLA 52-35

Kedon Slovis didn't grow up in the Los Angeles area, and Southern California's rivalry with UCLA doesn't yet loom as large for him it does for his fellow Trojans and Bruins playing against lifelong friends for yearlong bragging rights.

When USC's freshman quarterback got his first taste of the famed crosstown showdown Saturday, he still took one enormous bite.

Slovis passed for a school-record 515 yards and threw four touchdown passes in USC's 52-35 victory over UCLA in the schools' 89th meeting.

Kuithe's 3 TDs lifts No. 6 Utah past Colorado 45-15

After Utah's lone stumble this season -- a 30-23 loss at Southern California in September -- quarterback Tyler Huntley called a players-only meeting.

Huntley is known for his short answers with media and he didn't need to long to get his message across that day. He told his teammates they were a team of destiny and that loss wouldn't define the season.

"I told them we needed to focus and we would knock over any obstacle in our way," Huntley said as he walked off the field after No. 6 Utah's Pac-12 South clinching 45-15 victory over Colorado on Saturday night. "I told them we had it in us to accomplish what we wanted. And now here we are. We here!"
