Year 7 for him. Not expecting much change now, unless Terry finds a backbone.

Good point, small sample sizes can lead to some misleading results so far in this young season, lets give it 20 games and then it should be closer to what we'll be throughout the remainder of the season.

Not sure even 20 games is gonna do that this year though. First 20 are brutal and as you know they are playing through injuries.

Even if the offense is excusable somewhat due to low sample size and variance, what's going on with the defense?

I think I would venture a guess that our lack of size in our forward and center positions right now is killing us, Mo and Chief had good length and were pretty good defenders even if they were lackluster and inconsistent on offense. Also without Nurk, Zach, and now Hassan we're pretty thin up front so we have virtually no interior defense until they come back as observed by the 84 points in the paint last game.

I meant with regards to CJ being so much worse than the rest of the team defensively.

Ah, gotcha, yeah no idea, he just seems content this year and has no hunger. Maybe his fat pay checks that are kicking in have made him complacent?

Does anyone know how to get this chart for the end of last season? I went to their website, but couldn't find these charts.

    My thoughts:
    • Thank Christ Mario and Tolliver are out of the rotation
    • It feels like CJ is playing better, but when people talk about empty stats I'm kind of surprised Whiteside always gets lambasted while CJ isn't exactly beating the world with much except his PPG.
    • Skal is the one bench guy who seems to be doing his job.

As much print has been given to him and of effort and stat-padding, I feel like he and Lillard really have been doing everything I expected of them.

15/12/2 should really be enough for Portland to win some games.

I agree. He had some injury issues earlier, but seems to have found his stride now. The forward position is where we've had problems.

Nothing much has changed. Dame's slowly getting a little worse statistically. Whiteside is up to 16ppg.

When I started this thread I was a lot more excited about the team than I am now. So I'm not bothering to update with current figures.

Only really bumping this because I got a reminder to do so.

    What a disappointing season.

It's so disappointing that HCP can't even muster up the energy to gloat that he said it was going to be.
