It's time to vote for your all-Blazers 80s decade team. Here's my selections: Mychal Thompson (top 10 career Blazer in pts, rbs, blks, stl, and ast) Calvin Natt (5 seasons, 17.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 17.7 PER) Kiki Vandeweghe (5 seasons, 18.9 PER, second highest Blazer ppg ave 23.5) Jim Paxson (9 seasons, 2 all-star appearances, 1 2nd-team NBA selection) Billy Ray Bates (Dunk!) Just missed the cut: Kermit Washington (all-star) Steve Johnson (all-star) Darnell Valentine (He played 5 seasons, and Bates only played 3. But Bates was the fun one to watch.)
what? is there a minimum number of seasons? if there's not: Terry Porter Clyde Drexler Kiki Vandeweghe Buck Williams Mychal Thompson
My guess is that they're only putting a player into one decade. They must be putting Porter, Drexler, Williams into the 90s Decade.
ok....might be the case where it breaks down is that Clyde spent 11 seasons with the Blazers and 7 of those were in the 80's. Porter was here for 10 years and 5 were in the 80's. Meanwhile, guys you can "vote" on and the years they spent as a Blazer in the 80's: Ron Brewer - 2.5 years Steve Colter - 2 years Fat Lever - 2 years Kelvin Ransey - 2 years I guess I'm a square peg in a round hole world. Might be they didn't want Clyde in there because he'd be a near-unanimous choice and bollix the contest
Easy there are only 2. Well, one of them would be 81 but he passed away 2 years ago. Darrall Imhoff would be 81 Lenny Wilkens is 82
