oh look...a Beaver fans speaks 5-7 --- 11 of last 12 ---34 of last 45 most Duck fans I know are just fine with OSU winning games and even root for them a lot of the time, as long as it's not the Civil War. But it sure seems Beaver fans would almost rather see the Duck lose than the Beavers win. The hatred is strong in little brother
As a Beaver fan, I almost always root for the Ducks when they are not playing the Beavers. However, tonight I will be rooting for Utah as they still have a chance at getting into the playoffs. Had Oregon not choked the other week, I'd be very strongly rooting for the Ducks but at this point, I want the best possible chance for a Pac-12 team to be in the playoffs and that means rooting against the Ducks. Of course, if the Ducks were playing for one of the California schools, I'd still probably root for the Ducks - just don't like the California schools.
might be an extra helping of bad news this weekend for the Ducks as the rumor is their 4-star WR commitment may be flipping to ASU
Did you attend U Of O? I ask because I grew up a Ducks fans. Ended up going to OSU. Tried to support both teams until I could not deal with Ducks fans coming to our campus and being complete douchebags. That was about two years. There are some good Ducks fans, but the amount of bad apples makes the team insufferable for me.
yep...around the time that Dan Fouts, Stan Love, and Steve Prefontaine were on campus I think I told this story before: I'm from a small timber town in mid-willamette valley and I was thinking I was going to go to OSU and major in engineering. Some of my buddies, who were going to college, were doing the same 3 or 4 of the hotter gals from my senior class were going to UofO...I definitely noticed that. Then, about the time I was going to send in the paperwork to OSU I was looking at the OSU catalog and noticed that the co-ed population at the time was 66% male. I said "wait a minute" to myself. I then checked the UofO catalog and saw that the co-ed population was 58% female I changed my choice of major from engineering to literature and headed to Eugene. Never regretted it
OSU is older and has more students than UO so it's not really a little brother. OSU has some national championships in baseball, so for men's team sports to reach the highest level OSU is actually ahead there.
Oregon has something like 14 national championships in T&F and has won a national championship in basketball. They also have won several Pac-12 championships in football and two Rose Bowls over the last 7 years. Trumps those baseball championships
Duck fans are some of the worst I've ever been around, and I'm not even a Beaver fan. The UO fans I know and have known are akin to Lakers fans. Maybe it's a generational thing but pretty much all of them are insufferable and always hope for OSU to be as bad as possible. That's why I do get a tiny bit of enjoyment when the Ducks lose.
The Ducks start off the game mixing things up with several runs by Herbert and getting a TD. Now the offense has gone back to the usual and going nowhere, or backwards. What's that all about?
I thought that the defender tried to avoid the hit once he saw how low Hundley was going. Also the defender took the major impact on that collision.
