Zach and Simons for Harrell would work. maybe before the injury to Zach they may have given some thought to that I dont know.

Doesnt seem to be a very clear path to getting Harrell, and I kinda doubt he’s available. Went to the Trade Machine and didnt find a lot that worked.

    Love Harrell’s game though.

If Harrell was at any point available there would've been multiple threads addressing it and figuring out how we can enter the conversation much like Iggy and Love.

Edit: I'm sorry you feel disrespected by this but that doesn't make you correct.

What we need to do is find the next Harrell type. Someone who is being undervalued and not used correctly on their current team. Between trades and two open roster spots (once the injury exception goes through) making moves equal to the Kanter and Hood additions of last year is the only way to still be in the mix this year. It's certainly possible but very difficult to do.

One guy that could fit that mold is Mikal Bridges. His minutes on Phoenix are down 9 minutes a game this year from 29.5 to 20.6. He's an above average perimeter defender but so far has struggled shooting the 3 point shot in the NBA. I think his mechanics are solid though and he shoots well on 2 point shots and is a good free throw shooter so I think he could still get on track shooting the 3. It's gonna be near impossible to match Hood's efficiency so far this year but I think he would be a good fit in the current starting lineup getting that Hood/Harkless type role.

I like Bridges, but he seems kinda similar to Nas to me, not sure you agree with that, but Id like to see Nas get a chance before the deadline before we get some one who in my mind is similar.

They are similar on defense, I don't think their offensive game is similar at all. Mikal I see more as a 2/3 type and Little a 3/4 type. So far I don't think Nas has played much at all at the 3 so I don't have very high hopes for Stotts putting him there. If Mikal is like Nas though wouldn't it be good to have two of those guys on the floor?

Everyone is talking about Harrell, after he smoked us. I've always wanted Faried. I guess he's in China now. Just by my eyeballs, but it always seemed like that dude would beat us up; and spank our ass. Tons of energy. Nas reminds me of Faried. Again, I have no stats on him. He just seems like a dude that would fit, and help massively....

No to Harrell. He's an ideal bench guy in that he brings great energy off the bench, but he's like a glorified Jermaine "Junk Yard Dog" Williams (or Pops Mensah Bonsu) - there's a reason the Clippers start Zubac.

I guess I didnt mean similar positions as much as sort of similar skillsets, very good athletes, good defenders, a lot of work needs done on offense, Nas is probably a better rebounder and Bridges is a little better on the perimeter. Im not sure I understand your last line, about if their similar they should play together, because honestly Id probably say no to that two guys who havent been consistent on offense sounds a lot like Moe / Aminu, though I think Bridges has a more refined offensive game than Moe or Aminu did at his age.

Harrel is an animal and a rare breed. Would love to have a player like him coming off the bench, but pretty sure the Clips like him a lot as well. lol

I meant like we need more energy on the court at times.

Yeah, when Collins went down I really wanted them to sign Faried. He would've been a decent fit especially considering their huge rebounding problem earlier in the season. Usually when guys sign in China they can't play in the NBA until the Chinese season ends so unless he has a clause written into his contract that he could leave for the NBA at any time I think he's stuck there until early March when their season ends.

I've been endlessly optimistic throughout this rough start to the season...but this Rodney thing might've knocked the wind out of me (hopefully temporarily)...

Do we actually think Olshey is going to or should make a trade between December 15th and the trade deadline? (Zero sarcasm or tone here. I literally have no idea what to expect.)

When Wilson Chandler comes back from suspension on December 15th the Nets may have to cut either David Nwaba or Iman Shumpert. If the Blazers are granted their disabled player exception by then they could claim whoever they cut off of waivers using that exception. I know it's not going to be a championship type move but both have been playing decently lately and are worthy of a roster spot.

You are definitely not alone as I fit that category as well and anyone that says they do, is doing nothing but pure speculation. I think it will depend on who is available and at what price to have a reasonable speculation.

This season is crazy. Dame and crew are talking championship and literally everything broke (no pun intended) the wrong way and now we are struggling more than ever under the Dame era.

I think you have to look at trading for your starting SF more than ever now. Someone who will fill that role for the next couple of years. I’m not sure who that would be but you have to continue to roster build and our pick is probably more valuable than ever in a not so deep draft
