Hmmm, did/does that also apply to the other 3 "impeachees"? Sorry, but your boy is forever tainted with the stain of impeachment.
Yeah, it still pisses me off that our only options in 2016 were Trump and Clinton...that's like choosing between a gun to the head or a knife in the back.
Yep, they have been stepping it up quite well lately. The shear ignorance of the dems is goading them to come to work. I appreciate the help. I was really depressed with the messages going to China. Just hold out until the the dems hold sway. Now it looks like they see the trend, make the deal. We will have to deal with Tump after all. The inept GOP stepped up just enough to get the right message out.
I agree with much of what you're getting at, I think one of the issues of being "independent" is that there's A LOT of room to cover in the independent sector, there's a lot of people who don't necessarily align with the DNC or GOP, but the spectrum is wide from Right to Left find an independent who "ticks" enough boxes of all those people is pretty hard. Being without party affiliation does not necessarily mean you're a moderate if that makes sense.
People overstate the importance, and the negatives, of the parties. Look at Trump getting elected and what he has done to the Republican party - they don't believe in most of the stuff they did just 5 years ago. Electing an 'independent' would have been much less of a change. barfo
Which he can use to make subjective claims, but he stated quite a lot there that is simply nothing but his opinion and heck i respect his opinion. My opinion is different. I think in general people dont condemn the two party system (at least what its become enough, maybe they do in the s2 bubble), I would say the negative effects it has had are greater than people realize. He claimed Republicans dont believe now what they did 5 years ago, again thats his opinion. My opinion is many of them didnt change what they believe rather when its their “guy” they’re willing to cast a blind eye to it. He claimed an independent president wouldve caused less change? Would love to see him prove that. Cause Im gonna use that to make us all rich. Again no problem with him having those opinions, I cant prove he’s wrong but he stated it pretty factually.
Nothing subjective about it. Let's take a look at three rather salient examples. 1. The annual deficit and national debt - Trump shot that to shit and back and not even a whimper for the new Republican party also known as the Trump cult; 2. Obama Care must be disintigrated - Now, Republicans don't dare touch Obama Care. If their Supreme court ruling goes their way and Obama Care gets eliminated, Republicans will suffer the wrath of the public and Republicans know it; 3. Morality is very important especially the President's morality - Trump has shot this to shit, who could argue that? There are more such as the conduct during an impeachment and the Senate trial. The only two that I can think of off the top of my head where Republicans are still in agreement is spending astronomical sums on the military and unlimited contributions favoring a candidate. Also, there is a no. 4 above, redistricting. The Republicans used to be against it and now they have gone hog wild supporting it.
None of that proves their beliefs changed, it could just be that in the pursuit of power and money they chose the power and money over their beliefs.
