Teams that get to the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 are good teams. Did you just make that up or do you have a source for that "fact"?</div>I made up the 90% part, but by looking at profiles on Scout.com/Rivals.com and actually being into recruiting the people that don't qualify for college go to JC or a Prep school, like Hargrave in Virginia. Most football players go to Hargrave while a lot of basketball players go to JC. I don't even know if there is a school like Hargrave for basketball.

I looked at the 2007 Rivals 150 for bball and only 1 of the 150 players was going to JC. You can check it out if ya like. Here's the linkage: http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewrank.asp

Link doesn't work... But there are kids who can't made the grades to get into a four-year college, so they go to a JC... There are more players like this in football than in basketball.... Just because they commit to a school, does not mean they will end up there... Again, if they don't qualify, they have to go the JC route in basketball. The one guy who committed to a JC already knew he wasn't going to qualify for a 4-year college.

I know that a lot of football players go to JC but IMO it doesn't occur nearly as much in bball.

You're right, and I agree that it happens more in football, but how do you know if these guys didn't qualify to get into a four-year college...Jamarcus Ellis, for example, was a 3* (which is usually a good college player). He committed to Texas A&M out of high school, but didn't make it. He went the JUCO route, and now he is a 4*(great college player, maybe an NBA player).

There are many 3 or 4 star freshman that had only mediocre 1st years in college, and JC transfers are essentially freshmen when they start playing for a D-1 school.

I think it kinda depends on the coaching and how the prepares the players, too.

It's all about situation too, like if the player is stuck behind a star or if he has a chance to start or get good minutes.

I could be wrong, but didn't Sampson suggest White enter the NBA Draft and not stay in college? Is there something wrong there or is it just me...It would take a Melo at Cuse performance for the Hoosiers to reach the Final 4. Don't get me wrong Eric Gordon >>>>>>>>>>>>> Mike Conley Jr., but I don't know if he can carry this team to a final four apperance.
