What they should do is trade CJ and build a balanced roster for next season... giving the team the rest of this season to gel and get more experience for the young players while earning a good pick to trade in off season.

I would like to target Wiggins and Gordon.

They're both 24. They would fit into the window with Ant/Nurk/Collins, but they're also at an age where they can help win now.

I still think Wiggins could be a star. I think Gordon could be a borderline All-Star power forward. Not sure what it would take to get it done, but we have CJ/Whiteside/Baze and some other pieces to try to make it work.

Nothing. there's nothing they can do to salvage this season and compete for anything more than the pleasure of getting swept in the first round.

Keep Nurk and Zach out all year, and see what Little and Simons can do, and maybe even Hoard.

I don't know..... I think the teams at the top are beatable. It's not like with the Warriors in the past.

While that is true, that is a putting a LOT of hope on a guy who missed almost a year and will be rusty AF, to have this team actually be able to show something that they've lacked almost from the get go.

I know what I would NOT do:

    Trade anyone under 24
Trade any first round picks - none
    Trade Damian
    Trade Nurkic

Anything not mentioned above in play.
Actively look to trade Hassan and Kent.

No moves should be made with importance placed on the 2019-20 season. All moves should be to improve the team from 2020-2023.

Agree, and those moves should be to put Dame in better position to lead us to a title with a more balanced roster... meaning trading CJ... and firing Stotts for good measure

I really doubt we can trade CJ for a better player given how bad his contract is, therefore as much as it pains me to say, we're probably better off keeping him.

Why should I have to play GM? Isn't Olshey paid enough? My only move would be to replace him, so that the new guy can find a new coach and get forwards.

I don’t think a big move is necessarily needed. Because of all the injuries, the bench has been decimated to the point where they’re pretty much a liability and cost the team games. They can’t rebound and don’t score enough. They’re last in both categories since Skal got injured.

Getting Nurk back also massively upgrades the bench with Whiteside replacing Tolliver. I think the focus should be moving Bazemore and upgrading on the wing. Someone like Glenn Robinson would be a significant improvement, but Olshey should be able to get creative with that Bazemore expiring. Turning that into two rotational players would be ideal. Finding a team that wants to dump money shouldn’t be difficult, or at least a lot easier than in the summer. This deadline is also about next year as well. Letting Bazemore (and maybe even Whiteside) expire would be a massive disappointment.

I thought we were in contention....to make the Playoffs with the worst winning percentage in the West in how many years?

You have to go back to the 1996-1997 when the Clippers finished with 36 wins to see a Western team make the Playoffs under .500. Even at that, their winning percentage was .439....compared to the .400 where Portland is now.
