Wish the team could play like that all the time.

May have(yeah it was)been their best game all year. If Kakko and Buchnevich could start contributing more they could really make it interesting. Of course that would also cloud some of the decisions at the DL. Panarin though, the guy is off the charts. Worth $13m right now.

That game was a lot of fun to watch. Good to see Fox get one. I'll take no Brendan Smith for an entire game against the Islanders if it means Matt Martin sits too. That guy always plays chippy and I hate watching him blast our guys.

Islanders are not a talented team. They try to win regular season games by playing playoff hockey in the regular season. They were exposed last night as the Rangers played with playoff intesity. Islanders are going to get throttled in the playoffs.

Georgiev is keeping them afloat through 1 period is this one. Kakko of course is not shooting. Starting to wonder if his instincts are not all that great. More likely he's overthinking way too much.

He played much better in the 2nd period. Great goal by DeAngelo...didnt see the penalty he took prior but, it seemed like he and Quinn were having a pretty heated discussion on the bench after the goal...Ruff had to get between them. Wonder what that was all about!

Great win. This has actually been a fun season with this young group. Inconsistent at times but they don't quit.

Justice after that bullshit embellishit call on Panarin. Yep. Kreider needs to be signed. That worthless sack of shit Buchnevich needs to be dealt. Gorton needs to fix the 4th fucking line. McKegg, Smith and Haley is an embarrassment.

Honestly, Hank needs to be dealt or bought out at the end of the season. Sad after he carried this organization for so many years but all things end. Hope they hire him to work with BA and he is our next great, goalie coach.

Heck no. He didn't have a good game but our defense is tiny enough on the right side with TDA and Fox. He plays against the top lines along with Skjei.

Completely disagree that Trouba should be traded. He's 25. He plays against top line forwards night in and night out. He's the only guy we have back there with real size. He's one of the only defensemen in the league with over 100 shots and 100 hits. Having a guy like him frees up TDA and Fox to take a more offensive role. Yes he gets beat sometimes and coughs up the puck sometimes, and yes he had a bad play on the first goal last night, but what defenseman playing against first line forwards doesnt have moments like that? Especially in today's game with the amount of speed and skill up front. And more importantly, who are we replacing him with? If we go Fox, TDA and Lundkvist down the right side this team will get absolutely trampled. And if we try to sign a guy with size for the lower pairings - a McQuaid type- all of a sudden you're putting DeAngelo or Fox on the top pair, where they cant take full advantage of their offensive skill.

If we trade Trouba we'd immediately be looking for a guy just like him, and not many of those guys exist. If we're trading a defenseman, Skjei is the guy who should go.

Trouba has been the guy the Rangers have needed for years I also think he was a great sign don't think he's the problem. The Rangers defensive unit as a whole needs to improve, hard to pin it on any single player but although they give up a lot of shots they also lead the NHL in scoring. I am thrilled to see an 18 year old prospect put right into action and more than hold himself, that's the only thing that matters now. I've wanted CK resigned from the get go, he has a unique skill set and can handle playing in NY

Yep. After the last couple weeks I will be pissed if they let Kreider go unless it's a behind the deal scenes where they agree on contract terms, deal him knowing he is coming back. Even then I don't think it's worth it. He's a guy the kids all train with in the off-season and look up to. Buchnevich has to go. He is a mental case and can't handle NY. I find myself loving TDA and his attitude. Yet, having Fox, TDA and Lundkvist makes the D small. Y0u would really need to have a big, mean, physical 3rd and 4th lines to compensate for a small D which we can easily have with our farm system and the right deals. On one hand I would hate to see Georgiev go. Hank has to see the writing on the wall now. I wonder if he agreed to be traded. I see him as our future goalie coach after BA retires. That being said, if Georgiev is dealt I stick by my deal of making Calgary take Smith and getting back a high pick, Bennett and Jankowski. Bennett plays just like Lemieux. Both Jankowsi and Bennett were 25 to 30 point role players before this year. A ton of Flames are having down years. Even Gaudreau. I think those guys can make our bottom 6 a ton better.
