This, after they paid Melo $28 mil last season to go away from the team.

    Atlanta should sue him.

I went over to some Minnesota sites yesterday and their trade for Crabbe was almost universally loved and most people graded it an A or A+ simply having Jeff Teague off the team. I know Teague isn't as good as he used to be but he's a better player than Allen Crabbe still. They think Vanterpool will fix him.

Is this as crazy to you guys as it is to me?

He should have to re-pay them with a term of indentured servitude. It'll break our hearts to say "goodbye", but we'll get over it!

Not that crazy Crabbe will at least listen to vanterpool. Doubt teague listened to his advice.

Just goes to show fans are just that. Fans. Every board has their fans that think they are experts. We are not experts. We are just dudes following closely and reading stat sheets.

Not for $19 million, but Teague would be a really nice backup PG on this team. He can create, has a high assist %, and is a decent defender plus he's shooting 38% from 3 this year. He and Simons would complement each other well.

I'd feel confident about that IF maybe the team was winning at home

    * Blazers still have 9 games till the trade deadline and 13 games till the all-star break.

    * 7 of the 9 games till the deadline are against teams with winning records, and one of the other games is against the Spurs who haven't been a push-over lately

    * 9 of the 13 games before the break are against teams with winning records, and of the 4 that aren't, there's the game against the Spurs, and two games against Memphis and New Orleans who are 8-2 and 7-3 respectively over their last 10.

considering the way Portland has been playing, and their record against good teams, a realistic guess-timate of their record at the break might be 21-34
    *********************************************************

    * after the break, Portland has 27 games. 11 on the road and 16 at home.

    * only 9 of the 27 games are against teams with winning records

Portland's schedule has always had them set up for a hot streak after the break. They might have Nurkic back before the break, and might get Collins back with 2-3 weeks left in the season. The problem is, if Portland has 21 wins at the break, even something like a 20-7 record after the break would only get the Blazers to a .500 record. That might land them at 7th or 8th seed, but leave them matched up against a much better top-seed.

and of course we don't know what will happen before the trade deadline. If the Blazers trade away Whiteside, they are trading away their only paint presence and their best rebounder and rim protector. That would likely mean even more losses

Mozel tov to Warriors president Rick Welts on his marriage to partner Todd Gage. San Francisco mayor London Breed officiated. They will divide their time between Bay Area and Sacramento, where Gage's son attends high school.

19 points from the field on 29 shots. Not even the generosity of the refs could bail him out this time!

This Zion hype is insane. I'm intrigued and tuning in. Still think he's too fat and needs to drop some weight
