Brother this is our world right now. We got people who were idolized living out on the streets doing drugs, getting attacked while others watch because they don't want to be attacked. They see this shit on the news every night, they don't want to be Susan 48, stabbed to death on the freeway while trying to help man. It's sad, it weighs like 50,000 lbs and I think it may be giving me ulcers.

Trouble is if he's not willing (or able) to accept help, there's nothing to be done even with famous friends that might try. Mental illness is crisis that we don't have many answers for at this point.

Maybe LeBron will come to his rescue and try to get him some help.

Yeah it’s sad, but this is a sad reality for a lot of homeless people. If this wasn’t Delonte West, this doesn’t make the news. Why is he so special? Because he banged LeBron’s mom and put a ball through a hoop? Dude blew 20 million bucks, lived an extremely privileged life and we are supposed to feel bad? Everyone saying the NBA should help him, why? How about we focus on the real issue... HOMELESSNESS AND DRUG ADDICTION NATIONWIDE. Not just one fucking millionaire who fucked his life up.

Hopefully Delonte can turn it around though, sad state if affairs there.

I agree. I don't know what the answer is either. For various reasons there are too many mentally ill people on the streets, who refuse to take their meds. What do you do? You can't lock them all up and force them to. We can only help those who want to be helped.

I’ve known many people that were very steady productive and Civil, not mentally ill, however because of eventual addiction and party time all the time, they lost their will to improve themselves, and frankly, liked the life style that drugs alcohol and party time brought them.
I do not view these people as mentally ill at all but sick with addiction.

Nah. These junkies are violent, messy and bother the general population. They should be taken off the streets. Not saying Delonte is one, but they need to clean up these homeless people off the streets.

They randomly accost people going along their days. They are a public health risk. They certainly aren't a "plus" on society.

Get them in a facility to get better and off the streets. Yes, this will have to be forcibly done.

Are you equating jews, black people and women with homeless junkies and the mentally ill? Really don't see where you are going with this.
