I’d like either of the Washington boys (Stewart/McDaniels), Avdija sounds interesting don’t know much about him though.

Currently #14 in the West and #8 in the Lottery....but very close to #5. That should be quite a good player or a solid asset.

We don’t have the cap space for it to be a true asset sadly (draft day) unless you wanna package it with CJ.

So, player it is! Lol which is what we should do anyway. It’s time to look at the Blazers post prime Dame, adding another high level young man to Simons, Collins, Little, and Nurk is gravy.

Check out this guy Obi Toppin from Dayton. He's a 6'8" combo forward with a silky smooth 3 point shot, can score in the post, throws down some monster athletic jams, and has pretty good court vision on passes.

He'll be 22 in March, so much like Brandon Clarke's age last year that will be the only reason he's not considered one of the top prospects in this draft as the season goes on.

Trade the pick for an impact player from a team that is blowing it up

Someone like that is probably more ready to contribute right away than most of the Draftees. Playing foreign Pro ball against grown men seems to help too.

He actually looks like he could help today if he was on the team.

Our interest level 2020 draft SHOULD BE low/moderate instead it feels like it's on high. Dame's not getting any younger and I'm sure the last thing on his mind is the draft.

Trayce Jackson-Davis (son of Dale Davis) looks like a top 20 guy.

    https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/trayce-jackson-davis-1.html

Really coordinated and fluid lefty PF, with long arms and big hands. Isn't shooting 3's, but free throw stroke and % looks promising.

I'd probably take him over Toppin right now. Better defender, younger and I think his skills and physical tools translate better to the NBA game.

Assuming our first pick will be around 8-14, we should just draft the guy with the highest potential. Not BPA exactly, just someone who has all the tools for the future (Giannis comes to mind). Avdija, Sylla, and Maledon fit that kind of thought process.

2nd round, we definitely should be looking for a) a backup Point Guard, like an actual point guard... not a combo/scorer. Someone who can facilitate an offense, play defense, and give 10-15 minutes of rest to our star. I love Pritchard here at Oregon but his lack of physical tools scare me defensively, love his heart though, wouldnt scoff at Winston from MSU though if he fell to us in that 2nd round. B) a center, and there are A LOT of them to be had late in the draft this coming draft.

Since we are likely to have a much better pick than previously imagined, I've turned my attention from late-first prospects to legit prospects.

The player that I have my eye on is Onyeka Okongwu—a two-way big in the mold of Montrezl Harrell.

We were within shouting distance of #5. Then that pesky 3 game winning streak against the Bulls/Wolves?/Bulls and even after a lot more losses, we are at the back end of the Lottery. By the end of this 18 game stretch, we might be back at a good pick.

Right now only 2.5 games ahead of the Pelicans for #14 in the West. That would be good for around #6 because there are so many horrible teams in the East.

    Bump.

Right now we are mired in the 12-14 range. Just "good" enough for the arse-end of the lotto. :curse:

Any players in that range to be excited about?
