Geez man. It won't be the same in here without you and your thoughtful posts. Maybe don't close the door all the way. As I see it, you're an integral part of the S2 ecosystem...
Your posts are like Portland Public Schools in the summer . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . No class.
Posts like this certainly don't help anything. Just as bad as who you're talking shit about. Hypocritical to the max.
I hope your health improves, and you enjoy being a fan again. This forum has moments where it's a cesspool, and admittedly, I probably contribute to that on occasion. Hopefully my behavior/posts didn't contribute to your (or anyone elses) departure.
I don't know how you guys can do it. This place has a grip on me like an opioid. I wanna thank Maris for that and, of course, his Lordship.
People need to work through their grief and they need time to grieve in order to do that. I remember when my brother-in-law died and his raunchy friends, including the head raunch nicknamed Sharky who owned a casino in Nevada and all those who fawned over him because of all his money used to all constantly tell my sister-in-law not to cry even though that's all she wanted to do. I've never met a raunchier bunch of people in my life and that includes Sly. One nephew of hers even asked her if she'd like some flowers for him at the local funeral home. She said through sobs that yes she'd like that. So, the nephew ordered flowers to be sent to the funeral home and later she got the bill. This was after the nephew repeatedly told us how much money he was earing in Silicon Valley. I tried suggesting that all the women in attendance wrap up all the belongings and the men could load a moving van which I and the brother-in-law could drive up to Oregon where my sister-in-law wanted to live. Sharky said in a booming voice amid whispers during all the grieving and my sister-in-law's non stop sobs "THAT'S THE STUPIDEST IDEA I'VE EVER HEARD!" One of the creeps even said that they should let uncle Sharky decide. Never heard from any of those assholes in the 42 years since then, thank God. Oh, and the moving expense for the widow and her young daughter was paid for by the widow. Sharky and his cult followers never pitched in a penny. I'd rate these creeps lower than anyone in here. Their political beliefs have nothing to do with my feelings of disgust for the bunch. In fact I have no idea what their political beliefs are and don't want that to have any role in this discussion. Hey, I feel better for getting that off my chest. Sorry, you had to go through reading it. Think beer, think this coming weekend.
Riv....I hope you will get better and your health is always more important than any tart subject matter in here.
Oh, that was you. Thank your son for turning me on to that delicious hot dog. By the way, is there anything more gratifying then seeing father and son at a sporting event? No, there isn't. This going to raise the temperature in here, but it's because of the kids at the games that I oppose selling alcohol in the arena. Well, that and all the alcohol caused altercations. I had a pair of shoes ruined when a drunk spilled his beer all over my shoes. I've also seen alcohol induced fights. I had to call the ushers twice and have drunks thrown out. I hope your son never sees any of that. By the way, I've memorized your first name. Sorry I couldn't recall it at first. I'm terrible at faces and names but I've got you down. Was the hot dog really that good? No, but don't let your son ever know that. Little boys idolize their fathers and if you loved the hot dog, so will he and that is a good thing. Okay, I'm not his father but maybe I'll have some small positive effect and that will make my day.
Hey River, I know you were having some health issues before all this even started. If you're still checking here regularly hope you're doing well.
I'm guessing you guys saw this? http://www.sportstwo.com/posts/4889785/ ...but yeah, it's been awhile...I have not had much interaction with him here but I sure hope he's OK.
Yeah, I saw that. I have pm'd with him since then. But, it has been awhile. I am concerned about him with all his heart issues and this virus. I hope he is ok.
Ditto...I could understand him maybe taking a break from posting in this forum, but not answering PMs is a bit odd.
