Obi Toppin was somewhere in that range. He is now up as high as #4 in some Mocks.

Hey, we may not draft high enough to get Obi Toppin, but at least we beat the Warriors GLeague squad last night!!

When does the projected top 10 begin to form it's final form? Only after March or before that?

It's different every year. This year there aren't as many players separating themselves as top-10 picks like there usually is in previous years. Plus you got two top prospects that went to play in Australia and another one drop out of college after only a few games. Some players could really shoot up draft boards with a strong March or through workouts.

Right now the Knicks are #4 in the Lottery (where Obi-Wan is slotted) with 12 losses. Portland isn't going to fall that far. About as high as they could get is #9. That is what eaking out games against the G-Leauge Warriors and 3-game winning streaks that include 2 against the hapless Bulls gets you.

hmmm so maybe all of this mess is good for us.
If we aren't tanking properly and the real #1 and #2 won't go where they should then it might mean we have more chance to get lucky.

Yeah, exactly. It kind of reminds me of the 2017 draft, not in terms of talent obviously it's WAY worse, but in terms of there being several guys that fell to the teens or later in the 1st round because there was so many players jumbled together in terms of evaluation. Those types of drafts are the best ones if your talking about picks in the late lottery or beyond.

As someone that doesn't watch much college basketball, I caught the Baylor game the other night and was impressed by their guards. Any thoughts on Mitchell and Teague?

I'll of course hype my euro boys Killian Hayes and Deni Avdija playing solid basketball against grown men

Avidja will be gone long before the Blazers can get him.

Probably, he is starting to slip down some boards though.

I don't follow his season personally, but by knowing his basketball club i'm guessing he's not getting a lot of minutes as a youngster. That team is always under a ton of pressure to get wins, grooming young talent with academic playing time is not a top priority.

Yeah, especially when it's known he's bouncing for the NBA next season.

There is actually a thread about the draft this summer in January? There is almost half the season left?

Why not? Olshey scouts draft prospects during the season, why can't we discuss them? College basketball is in full swing so now is the perfect time to look at guys...

Why not? Do you really expect fans to wait till the NBA season is over to discuss college ball? Many fans enjoy watching college ball and forming opinions/projections on the future of star players.

Edit: oops, unwittingly repeated some of what Bones said!

Some basketball fans like talking about draft prospects and trade scenarios. So far you've tried to shit on both today.
