Well they just signed another guard who's going to play in their summer league, but they can always clear out some guards to make room for Fisher. I really hope this deal goes through though, only as long as he can give his daughter what she needs.
I would love to get Fish back. But not over his daughter's care of course. We don't need to make room on the roster either, there is room for him. Hopefully we are able to get him for the MLE or vet's minimum.
I'd love Fisher back in a LA Uniform. He knows the triangle really well and I believe him returning would be a huge thing for LA to keep Kobe.
He's not coming back now... he might come back after this season, but it all depends on his daughter and her condition. The Lakers were targeting him before he announced that he was going to take care of his daughter...
I think the Jazz should get first priority when he does come back. I don't get all the interest in him, especially from the Lakers. He just got out of his contract to be with his daughter and flat out said and put basketball on the back burner. How about at least a month, before we hear about these offers towards Fisher. Not like a day!

Los Angeles has a lot of top notch facilities, especially medical fields, so that's probably why Lakers are interested.

UCLA is one of the best hospitals in the country, in the top 5 medical facilities in the Nation. To add to that, he'd be joining his former organization, an organization which drafted him and started him out in the NBA. An organization where he spent the better years of his career. If he was to sign with any team, I would think it would be the Lakers. Obviously though, it's not likely he signs anywhere until he confirms a team.

I don't know about this for him as a player, but as a father for his daughter he should go to LA. He definitely does fit in with the team, but I just don't see the Lakers going anywhere as far as competing for a ring. But, I do think that all of that rightfully doesn't matter to him, especially since he already has 3. It would be refreshing to see Derek back in a Lakers uni :dribble:
