A Tip of The Cap to all of the Real Americans who have died before their time in spectacular fashion but were dismissed and/or completely ignored by the media and general populace simply because some dickhead celebrity, bloviating politician, or misogynist athlete happened to be there also.

Of course all beings that pass on should deserve equal thought and morning( when not having a direct impact on one's life) but notable people in life will also be notable in their passing and there simply isn't enough time or attention span for the news and media to list off all people who pass. Mostly because the vast majority will not know of their existence until after they heard of their passing... so whats the point?
Most of the time, the reason people we don't know in person are notable is because of their impact on their surroundings and the world and to deny their impact is ridiculous, so to observe their impact, you observe their passing.

Unless I write a few mega hits or invent some life changing, society changing devise, I certainty don't expect my passing to be news for the masses. Do you for yours?
If not, then whats the beef? :)

My beef is a known rapist was allowed to escape justice and silence his young victim, through threats and ultimately a payoff combined with more threats, then still be idolized by a huge segment of people who are mostly from the supposedly woke generation and claim to care about rape victims.

My beef is $650,000,000 net worth not only placed him above the law, but has somehow placed him on a pedestal as some sort of perverse role model.

My beef is some good people died today, but Kobe Bryant wasn't one of them, and the only recognition he deserves is recognition of the crimes he committed and the lives he destroyed.

Where's the brave and righteous #metoo gang?

Good to know you won't feel bad when Trump eventually dies. You know, sexually abused women, hung out with others who sexually abused women, paid them off. #MeToo

I agree with all except your last question.
Kobe raped a woman and got away with it. In addition, the wives of the other players on the Lakers' team told his wife about all the sex he was having on the road with groupies and, in spite of his Million dollar ring he gave her, his wife eventually left him, later rejoining him.

He also just confirmed that he doesn't think Trump is a "Real American".

First of all, Kobe was not found guilty of rape. It was never even brought to trial.

That's because he paid off the victim close to a Million dollars.
I've read the detective's questioning of Kobe about the rape incident and there most certainly was a rape. How do I know? Kobe admitted to it during the interview with the Detective. It's documented. Kobe begged the police not to tell his wife.

    Edit:
The prosecuting attorney's office implored the young lady to go ahead with the trial but she signed an agreement when she accepted the hundreds of thousands of dollars from Kobe.

Berating Kobe Bryant while supporting Donald Trump, who has been accused of the same crimes. Seems like the definition of intellectual dishonesty.

Then, Kobe Bryant must not have known what he did because those were his words.
