I watched that game as I couldn’t sleep, even when Minnesota were leading I still thought their plan for the game was not a good one and they were bailed out by crazy good shooting (were 21/37 at one point) by players you don’t normally expect to make those shots. Kings were playing without a center and Towns hardly got to the rim, they are using him purely as a stretch five which is a huge waste of his talent.

First time in 8,739 attempts that a team down by 17 or more with 3 minutes or less on the shot clock wins a game since they started recording play-by-play in 1996.

About that, I've always been told that it's the job of the 3rd guy lining up during FTs to box out the shooter, but they never seem to do it in the NBA. This time was no exception, as Vonleh went straight toward the basket instead of putting a body on Fox, allowing him a straight line to the basket for the putback. Then he even looked around like "yo wtf" when I would say that it was his job to prevent this exact scenario.

Just noticed that Kawhi has scored 30+ in 8 straight games, which is tied with James Harden for the longest such streak in the league this year. Load management at its finest.

I wish he would have had video of a couple of Dame's near halfcourt shots.
