I’m just throwing these up while I watch the replay not worried about quality hehe. He actually beats AD here both off the dribble and at the rim. Fucking McGee tho
I've got to say, I liked what I saw of Gabriel in his brief Blazer debut. Biggest thing is he didn't look starstruck. He went out and competed. Wasn't afraid to body up, and, when he got that pitch on the wing, he went right up with a smooth-looking shot. But the main thing was he looked he felt he belonged. He wasn't intimidated. Sometimes, I think that's what Ant's lacking right now; he's pressing, thinking too much, not letting the game come to him. Trent's done a lot better job of figuring it out, accepting a role and slowly expanding on it.
I think Will the Thrill genuinely needed to grow up. I think if you give players playing time and just suffer through their mistakes, sometimes they don't improve. I think if Zach Randolph had stayed with the Blazers he would never have become what he did, and not because the Blazers weren't letting him play. He needed a cold dose of reality to realize it wasn't enough putting up big points and rebounds numbers. Bouncing around the league was good for him. The most classic example of this is Chauncey Billups. Or perhaps the Blazers' own Jermaine O'Neal: he was given chances with the Blazers and just wasn't ready.
Loving this kids heart and hustle. I guess I need to learn how to spell his name. Pretty sure I had it wrong up until now.
