Yep. But that's really old news (no offense intended). The only chance we have is to draft well and trade well. It can be done. Anytime I hear people talking about Portland signing big time free agents I immediately know that person has absolutely no clue.
I was born in Portland and spent over 30 years there. Toronto is an amazingly diverse and cosmopolitan international city. Not enough to keep Leonard there, though. Just a one n' done for them. As to the Bucks, yeah, good on 'em. Here's a blurb on how they've manage to get so good. A big part of that is drafting a kid with a name beginning with 'G'. https://www.quora.com/How-did-the-Milwaukee-Bucks-get-so-good
Nah, not upset. I did include the word "slim" in my statement. As an aside, there are moments when I really wish the team would tank as to increase the chances of a lottery pick. That said, I was as excited as anyone here when the Blazers pulled of that improbable run to the WCF. Was part of that due to seeding? Sure. They could have just as easily lost in the first round (again). What types of discussions would we have had then?? When a team that can't attract legit FA's perennially ends up in middle-of-the-road land, there's not a lot of hope for a title.
Well, there are certainly a lot of things to like here: We tote our guns, go to church on Sunday, and luvs our Trump!
