Suddenly the small-ball Rockets are looking really good. Guess Covington was a good acquisition. Their only significant loss recently was to the Suns without Westbrook or Gordon. Could they make it to the finals? It would be funny to see them against the Sixers, whose point guard is probably bigger than their starting center.

Rockets have pretty much been a very good regular season team but a mediocre playoff team. I don't see that changing.

Matchup issue at this point. They might match with the Clippers but Lakers and Denver will beat them.

They might match up with the Clippers better, but the Clippers depth is much better than the Rockets.

I think the Clips are build for the playoffs with their tremendous depth even with a banged up PG.

Talking of matchups: I want OKC vs Houston. There should be real bad blood there and I'd like to see if OKC can keep Steven Adams on the court, because good luck with that, PJ Tucker.
(Actually, Chris Paul is almost certain to play ONE of his ex-teams.)

It makes me happy that at least Houston is trash this year. I hate that team and I hate their fans.

I think some of it is that teams have kind of figured out how to deal with it. It will be interesting if Houston can adjust to other teams adjustments. The chess match begins on turn 3 so to speak.

I don't see it being a successful playoff situation when the game slows done somewhat and becomes more physical. Lack of size will be hard to over come unless they are just killing it from the 3 point line but that's hard to sustain in a 7 game series. I can see them being a 1st round and out team even with home court.

I could see them having some wildly inconsistent success maybe even win a round, I kind of expect them to get blown out a couple times and to blow out their opponent a few times. It's an interesting experiment though.

It will be interesting to see how Houston fares but even before going small ball D'Antoni's style has never translated well to the post season.

Yep. A few games ago, they shot 7/42 from 3.

That whole team is streaky, they can get blistering hot and freezing cold game to game. I think it’s an interesting experience.
