Wasn't he really close to Kobe?
Since the accident, Tatum's been dominating.
    Maybe a little extra incentive.

You were saying Boston had no superstar. I said yes they did. And you said he was only playing well tonight because we suck. So I tell you he's been doing it against everyone. It's a conversation.

Yep. Tatum is the Kobe of this generation but to Tortured, he's just a "good" player.

Not really I said I didnt think Boston had a superstar and I still dont, I think superstars are like top 5 NBA players - Tatum isnt that to me. I said he’s really good, I think their team is very good. I think Doncic, Harden, Lebron, Dame, Giannis, are the NBA “superstars” or 5 best players. When Healthy KD and Steph are up there too. Theres nothing “wrong” with being a top 20ish player:

Maybe Tatum and Kemba carry them to a title it could happen. The Blazers arent good this year and having a big game against them isnt surprising, yes Tatum has played well the last few weeks.

The thing is you then continued to ask me like 3-4 times about Tatum and have gone on a google “tatum+superstar” spree to try to prove your point. Which is fine, but I obviously have my opinion and some random journalists opinion isnt that important to me.

Seriously though if you ranked NBA players this year, Do you have Tatum top 10? Cause I wouldnt. Its opinions though and your free to have yours, Im not gonna ask you over and over about it 2 minutes after I asked the first time...

And to you, Carmelo is the clutchest player in NBA history.
I think Tatum is on his way, but a superstar?
Dame just got there. Let's give Tatum more time, and TBF a break .

So you don't think Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid are superstars? And obviously, as you said, Curry and KD are superstars. So it we're talking Top 9 there. Jokic not a superstar? Westbrook who won MVP less than 3 years ago? If it's only Top 5 to you then Dame wasn't a superstar last year because he wasn't Top 5 last year. I guess we just have different definitions. I think there can absolutely be 10-15 superstars in the league. That is how the NBA is marketed. Tatum has become a superstar and it's why Boston is a Top 5 team in the NBA.

Statistically,. It's not up for discussion. It's a fact. Carmelo is the most clutch regular season player in NBA history. As for Tatum- there is a moment in a great player's career when he becomes a superstar. That moment has taken place over the last few weeks. He is now a superstar.

I think he’s just asking how do you in a basketball standout say he’s not a superstar? This is a basketball forum to engage and compare basketball opinions after all..

Even if we included the top 10 as superstars I wouldnt have Tatum there.

Lebron, Dame, AD, Doncic, Harden, Giannis, Embiid, Jimmy Butler, Jokic, Paul George, Kawhi. All those guys to me “right now” are clearly better or have proven for longer stretches they can be elite over Tatum. Im not trying to knock tatum, and you may be right he’s coming into that, like if we had to do my top 10 24 and younger guys he’s definitely on that list.

Tatum is on a team that is just loaded with above average NBA players, and then Brown, Tatum and Kemba who IMO are all really good NBA players like allstar guys. Danny Ainge has done a very good job.

The term superstar is thrown around a lot and we may just be arguing over semantics, but I really dont think that Tatum right now fits what my definition of a superstar is.

So CJ down to 72% from the line on the season? Like what the fuck...

It’s crazy. This is a dude who shot over 90% from the line just a couple years ago and actually led the league in percentage.

Is this the biggest drop by a player ever? To literally go from low 90s to damn near the 60s?

He'll streak. Probably hit like 10-15 straight and bring it back up a bit. Also he is at 73.9%
I think some of it has to do with him getting to the line. For some reason he is not getting to the line as much this year? Though he is taking more shots (mostly threes). Seems like the more he gets to the line the better he is shooting? And no. Not anywhere close to the biggest drop. As a matter of fact his rise between 14-15 and 15-16 was bigger than his drop this year.
