Remember when they used to do "future rankings" or something like that, where they ranked teams according to how good they were likely to be soon? I remember this happening back when we had Roy and Aldridge and there was still hope for Oden, and we were right near the top. Well, I'm getting increasingly depressed seeing young stars like Morant and Zion and Doncic and Tatum at how bare our cupboard is. Is there any team out there whose future looks worse? Maybe the Knicks, but they've always got potential because they're a marquee destination (or would be if they changed front offices). Talk me round!
You mean teams who have been horrible the last few years and got high lottery picks? We have Dame. We won't have a bright "future" until the present burns itself out.
Minny, Sacramento, Phoenix, Charlotte, Orlando, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and probably several others
Minny: I don't like KAT but there's plenty that do, and he sure puts up numbers Sacramento: I don't know if you noticed, but they just passed us, and Fox is their key player Phoenix: Seriously? How old is Booker? Ayton is KAT mark 2. Charlotte: OK, maybe. Although Bridges does have that MVP-of-the-rising-stars-game... Orlando: Maybe. Cleveland: They've got Drummond as a potential asset, and Sexton and Garland might be something... Chicago: Zach Lavine needs a "Latrell Sprewell mid-career reinvention"
Aside from CLE/LBJ when was the last time any of those teams were good for an extended period of time? They might be better than us for a brief moment but they will fuck up anything good the have going for them.
the New York Knicks. LAC, Maybe LAL - They have a great "right now" but gave up most of their future assets. Charlotte?
