sometimes Stotts does the right thing; he is just a little bit slow about it.

Or maybe the frustration is because he talks all the time about making a Playoff push, and post a picture of him and CJ about a push, just to play awful with no energy/motivation and a very bad body language. Then it is completely normal for me to wonder why he gives the fans hope and then plays so shit

it's not "normal" for most people, that's for damn sure

according to you > here's an example of "playing like shit":

    upload_2020-3-8_13-4-17.png

then he pulled his groin muscle

over 14 games he averaged 38.4 points and 9.7 assists while shooting 45% on three's and leading Portland to a 9-5 record over those 14 games. Even though I doubt you had any "hope", as you say, the only reason you'd have any at all is because of what Dame did. It sure as hell wasn't because of any other Blazer this year

Or maybe you forget how he plays when he's healthy. Not the first time he prolly plays hurt. It wouldn't be the first time he's not telling us about his injury.

Bringing in Melo is all on Olshey. Stotts doesn't have the reputation or stature to hold Melo accountable. If Stotts isn't able to hold CJ accountable, there is no way in hell Melo would acquiesce to Stotts. This is something that Olshey should have known and taken into account when he signed Melo.

Also seems like an agreement was made where Melo would start and play significant minutes. Because at this point, there is no reason Melo should be playing the amount of minutes he currently plays, yet even start.

Glad Neil re-signed CJ to $35+ mil contract extension starting at age 29... and he did it a year before he had to!

Because i have seen the times when you do not defend the Blazers. I remember it vividly. It was a time when absolutely no player was held accountable for anything on or off the court. It lead to 5 straight years of missing the playoffs and a total rebuild numerous times in 3-4 of those years. Not to mention 5 GM's in 6 years and 3 coaches.

I know and have seen when it is time to quit supporting my team. This is not that time.

without getting in the middle of the fight....

I want to point out that stretch of no-playoffs resulted in a #3, #2, #6, #1, and #11 in a 4 year stretch. That's the kind of lottery stretch that can turn a franchise around. Unfortunately, Portland's payoff for all those top picks was dismal. There's plenty of reasons to support a team adding four top-6 draft picks in 3 years, including a #1 and a #2

I don't say one should quit supporting them. I say stop defending people that quite obviously got no idea what they doing, therefore wasting whole season of Lillard's prime just bc they have injury excuse and no P.Allen to kick their buts out of the show. If anything I would say they don't support the team.

First off i personally do not think the people you are referring to "quite obviously got no idea what they are doing". I also don't believe the "Wasting a year of Lillards prime" has any basis of fact at all other than they didn't have a good year. Now as far as "No Paul Allen" goes? How many times have we read the very same posters posts about Paul Allen meddling in the teams functions? How many writers have said he needed to let the team run and quit trying to play GM? How many people blamed the "Vulcans"?
Now if what you are railing for here is a change in ownership? Then i guess we will all see what happens? I hear Dwight Jaynes is gonna speak at the booster club. Maybe you could ask him?

There is no fight here? Just a basic difference of opinion in the way things are viewed.
You point out the draft picks. Yes they got those. But what the post was about was not the draft picks at all. It was a team that nobody wanted to support. If the plan is to tank and get draft picks then so be it. But those changes had nothing to do with "A Plan" the franchise was broken on every level. GM all the way to the rookies it was drafting. For all his faults it took Sarge to bring some stability. Even that was tough because the GM problems were a nightmare.
