    Hello darkness, my old friend
Sly was making a joke, that Trump would veto it because there's a provision that none of the money can go to businesses associated with him or his family.

I was going from what TBF said...he didn't seem to take it as a joke either because he said "He won't veto it"...unless TBF was joking as well.

    ...but whatever.

I thought it was about 50% sarcasm, and 50% kinda serious. I don't know, my reply was kinda of the same I was sort of joking, sort of serious. He won't veto it because he wants re-elected. If that wasn't in the way, I'm not sure heh.
Jokes should be funny though. :)

As a neutral party to this, The Dog was being sarcastic, as Clyde the Glide would say "no doubt about it"

Thanks man but we aren't out the woods yet. If my wife were to get Covid-19, things could go very badly. She's also one of the at-risk because she has a thyroid disease that makes her vulnerable to the disease.

Yeah, I try not to think about it because it's basically out of our control. Outside of staying home and minimizing risk, we basically just have to hope for the best.

So it's loans for small businesses but complete bailouts for multi national and multi million/billion dollar corporations.

Well of course.... do you think those small businesses are lining the pockets of our politicians?

No shit. Bunch of bullshit all the same. Small businesses are the heart of this country. Now they are forced to take large loans and go into debt to stay open while these corporations get a free trip. Fuck that.

I will say this, if you have a small business, please reach out to the bank right now. My inlaws own a bowling alley and they reached out to Umpqua and they're getting a 3 month break on their mortgage with no interest. Umpqua is actually really stepping up in a big way. They're willing to provide an additional 100k loan to small businesses that need it. Call your banks people.

Is the pay still based on 2018 income? That screws me since I was working then, retired now, income half what it was.

From what I understand small businesses will be loans but will be converted to grants if they meet certian goals of retaining employees and other incentives.

Great news for smallbiz, the self-employed & freelance workers in the new bill!

Unemployment extended to self-employed & gig workers. About time.

Also guaranteed loans will be available to any smallbusiness that keeps its workers & will be FORGIVEN if the biz continues to pay employees!

Not sure why it will take until Friday for it to be signed by Trump? This needs to be done immediately.

Hasn't been voted on in the senate yet. Also I hear some of the senates already opposing it saying it makes it more lucrative for people to get laid off then to work. So who knows this may not even go through.

Thanks. I thought it was only waiting for House approval.
