People saying they won't accept it are missing the point.

    1. If you need it, accept it

    2. If you don't need it, either give it to people that do, or spend it in businesses that do

This reminds me of what I tell everyone about work Christmas parties. Instead of a lame party they spend 20-50 bucks per person on...have a drawing and give all that cash to one person.

being grounded and forced to cook at home has saved me so much money. Probably $1,000 a month.

I am curious how we will be taxed on the money. Will it be charged as income? bonus? I am not sure we will actually get it as long as the Reps continue to insist on the 500b slush fund for Trump to dull out with no requirements on which businesses it goes to.

I thought about that, too. I'm guessing that politics would demand that they make it tax free. But who knows.

Do you mean to say that there are two out of 18 people, 11%, who would return the check? This is based off the thread's subject poll.

I will just point out that Oregon does not get a great ROI on its taxes. So yes, I will take the money.

Yeah, but look at the negative side, you have to eat your own cooking.

Trump shouldn't be able to be in control of it at all. He would probably just give it to his friends and himself if there are no requirements.

Either they don't need it and will return it or give it away to those that do or they just don't want to admit they are going to take it.

It's a standalone immersion circulator that heats water and circulates it around the pot to maintain precise temperatures evenly.

Basically you cook stuff by heating it in a constant water bath. You vacuum seal meats/chicken/etc and then cook it this way so you keep the temperature precise. Works really good, takes a while.
