Great article that stats people will love. @illmatic99 @TorturedBlazerFan @wizenheimer https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-26/coronavirus-covid19-global-spread-data-explained/12089028?nw=0&pfmredir=sm
This shows how bad this country handled this issue. We have the steepest case curve - over Italy, China or anywhere else when we convert to logarithmic scale and normalizing for 'first case' on the x-axis. The initial response by our inept government has really fucked us, It was not the time it took for the stimulus or anything else, it was the time it took for the government to realize this is no hoax. Thousands of Americans are going to die because of this stupid administration. Plain and simple.
There is a thought to this. The course of treatment for any flu like symptoms will be the same. People who have some symptoms are already quarantining. There is really no point to testing general public if they're sick. Docs, nurses, etc, absolutely I would still test though cuz tht can still help. If anything , we should be testing general public who do not have any symptoms so they can quarantine themselves
I have been saying this for the last month. No one took it seriously in this administration and we're already too late. But we need to do what we can now to increase hospital capacity and control spread further. Instead, they're talking about opening it up. Ugh
But after thousands have died, around November Trump will claim that his leadership saved thousands of others from dying.
good article....thanks. and for Americans, it's about the worst news possible. We're in the path of a category 77 shit-hurricane slamming into us during an 12.0 earthquake.
Do any of you wear masks when going out in public....if you go out at all? I don't. I do slip on gloves, though, whenever going into a grocery store.
How do we know that's actually not the real you instead of a mask?...I mean, maybe it's a recent selfie.
Assuming they're unquestionably healthy. The value of the mask is for those people who think they're healthy, but don't realize they're just asymptomatic.
plenty of holy-shit in those numbers but what's maybe the scariest is how much the death toll is accelerating from one day to the next 3/1: 2 3/2: 6 - 4 3/3: 9 - 3 3/4: 11 - 2 3/5: 12 - 1 3/6: 17 - 5 3/7: 19 - 2 3/8: 21 - 2 3/9: 26 - 5 3/10: 31 - 5 3/11: 38 - 7 3/12: 41 - 3 3/13: 49 - 8 3/14: 58 - 9 3/15: 65 - 7 3/16: 87 - 18 3/17: 111 - 24 3/18: 149 - 38 3/19: 195 - 46 3/20: 263 - 68 3/21: 323 - 60 3/22: 413 - 80 3/23: 541 - 128 3/24: 704 - 163 Now: 938 - 234 at this rate, we could hit 1000 deaths in a single day in about a week
