    okay.
So my mother and her building went into lockdown on Thursday evening due the first positive test of a resident in her retirement community.
Today there are now four who have tested positive but they have not yet tested all of the residents. Im not sure if it is due to limited test kits, lack of staff or what, as of now. I just know its been almost four days and my mother has yet to be tested. So far she is also showing no signs so im assuming she is lower on the priority of residents to test. I would assume they would test those showing symptoms and higher risk first.

Sorry to hear that OB, but glad your mom is not showing symptom's.
My 97 year mother in-law is in an assisted living center, that has been locked down now over a week.

I've had what feels like a low level cold for about the last three weeks, stuffy nose, occasionally runny nose, constant low level headache, low energy levels on and off, ocassional slightly sore throat. I have not had either a fever, nor difficulty breathing during this period.

Starting last Friday I've had lose bowel movements, starting Sunday night (yesterday) I've had stomach pains, starting this morning (Monday) I have loss of appetite.

Per this study 48% of patients with COVID-19 "presented to the hospital with digestive symptoms as their chief complaint". I felt the symptoms before I read the study.

I'm unable to be tested here because I do not meet the current requirements. We are not yet in lock down where I live, but I will be self isolating, and reacting to my situation as any changes occur.

Heavy lungs, occasional cough and sneezing, body always aches so........sinus crap. I think it's leftover issues from acute bronchitis/ walking pneumonia, but who knows?

Okay, I get your point. Price gouging is illegal and that makes it all the more lucrative. Wow, I smell a buck in this.

Your mom's not tested yet, you say. Well how about me? I'm in my 70s and have five other conditions that put me at risk. I also have to undergo dialysis treatments three times a week at a hospital where someone died from Covid-19 coronavirus recently. Our nurses have trouble getting masks for Christ's sake.

you are def high risk Nd need to be careful but you aren't in a locked down building with positive people.
I would think they would want to test everyone in the building asap Nd move those who Come back negative out of the building so they wont catch it.

i was stunned when she said four days later she still hasn't been tested.

There are now six positives in the building.
Im starting to freak out a bit over here.

Yeah that seems like the place to be testing for sure. My father lived in assisted living for 8 years. He married a lady while there. She is now 92. We can't even go see her. The place is in Lock Down also as it probably should be.

Sorry bro, I hope your mom stays healthy. That is scary. My mom is a bit older too. She isn't in a retirement home yet, but she lives in a building with mostly older residents who are at high risk. I am scared she might get it to.

My wife thinks she may have had it a couple months back? fever, cough, not so much short of breath but felt like a truck hit ran her over. Took a couple weeks to get better. No test and she will be 70 in June.

My test came back negative, but every doctor I have seen has been convinced I had it. At the time of my test the failure rate for false negatives was in the 40 percentile range too, so I am pretty sure I had it. I can tell you it’s not like any flu I have ever had, and it’s taken me almost a month to go through it and feel better.

That's crazy man. Was there anything during the whole ordeal that lessened the suffering?
