I figure that even in these times it's important not to look like a slob, so I gave myself a haircut today. Given that it was a buzz-cut, it turned out to be no big thing and looks decent. After this success, I offered to cut my wife's hair. Surprisingly, she was less than enthused with this suggestion.
I called my hairdresser a few days ago just to chat. She joked by the time we are out and about again people's hair will be such a mess her customers will have to take numbers. I might do a touch up but would never attempt to cut my own hair.
I’m letting my hair grow until the current apocalypse is over with. It should be quite the ‘fro before things return to normal. Tried to grow a full beard for the first time in my life since I’m spending virtually no time out in public. But even at age 65 it had that patchy, “drunk lying in the gutter” look so now I’m playing with a goatee but it’s pretty pathetic too.
I’ve seen your “hairstyle”, Chris. It’s very similar to my own. I’m not so sure that what we’re doing comes under the heading of “grooming” as much as just “buffing the bowling ball”.
