Mine is easier. Look at this fucking sky! Can we figure out how to live like this permanently? Went on a 20 mile bike ride today. 20200404_122648.jpg

Well, it is just another shit shoveling day here at the cave. All the pets are eating and doing their business as usual.

Our cave is a 2 hour drive from the nearest Walmart, Home Depot and Winco, in good weather. Since weather can close roads here at anytime, we always have a 2-3 month supply of food and meds on hand. Preparing and living in this SHTF crisis has only been a minor inconvenience so far.

But.. We have learned an important lesson. In one word.

    PIZZA!

    Store bought frozen pizza sucks!

I miss restaurant pizza more than anything right now. Next safe time to buy restaurant pizza to go, a bunch is going into the freezer.

As far as this pandemic goes, my gut says, as bad as it has been, the worst is yet to come.

Just stopping by to wish you and your families well. Stay safe, this is not the time to take chances.

    Is that fake grass?

I'm jealous, been an Oregonian most of my 69 years and I get real tired of the gloomy & rainy skies here. I discovered why old guys like me become snow birds. I do enjoy our summers ear;y falls though.

Yeah. Fake. Not worth wasting water for real grass.

If I could live here all year and live in the NW for just the summer that would be great.

Seriously the sky is much nicer already. There is still a ton of vehicle traffic but much less air traffic.

Wife says they are closed. I don't think they had to close. Could be wrong on both.

I'll work half days fixing cars or 3 days a week. Part of my problem is the air being noticeably better in such a short time. We have to keep the pollution lower too.

One of my old co-workers drove an old Peugeot diesel across town every day. I swore I could see the sky get browner as he drove around the outskirts.

Exciting day. Cleaned my house, washed my hair, paid my bills. Gasping with excitement.

Hey @crandc at what point do you have to start using all those cats for baking/cooking ingredients? The day WILL come.

You'll eat your dogs before she ever comes close to eating her cat.

It's not so bad. Most of our back yard is a common area that is mowed once a week by the HOA. Our yard is inside the yellow lines.

I will feed myself to my cat before I eat her.

    I have a vegetable garden. I won't go hungry.
