My wife is the same way. The Seven Samurai was shown with subtitles so I watched and my wife busied herself with a steak dinner except the steak was cooked well done throughout the steak which meant I couldn't eat but about three or four small bites. Too bad, otherwise it would have been a great T-Bone with fried mushrooms and spinach with a splash of vinegar. She tried to get me to eat it with steak sauce but where I normally eat a bad steak with plenty of steak sauce I couldn't bring myself to even try.
My wife calls me in from my office last night and tell's me, she wants me to watch this movie (doc). When I asked what it is, she said Ron Artest, a bio on Ron Artest with JO, Kobie and few others, I wasnt really wanting to watch anything but I did watch it and thought it was pretty well done. It was on one of those premium channels, that we now get for free. Worth watching.
Watched Cadillac Records about Chicago Chess records...thought it was brilliant...Jeffrey Wright played a great Muddy Waters and Adrian Brody played Leonard Chess....Beyoncé played Etta James but she's way prettier than Etta ever was...
I missed that. How old is it? 5-6 years?. Wonder why I never watched it. Brody is worth watching in almost anything.
I don't know how old it is...a few years probably but the cars in this film are beautiful...the whole film is beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing...my kind of film set in the 50s
Ron Artest was an ass of huge proportions. I couldn't stand to either hear his voice or see his face.
I love old cars and often fantasize about the ones I'd like to restore. This would include a few motorcycles.
He was and his story show that big time but I got pulled into the movie because of all the other players and their take on him. He was bi polar and could go from laid back ok to crazy in a nano second. I couldn’t stand the guy, and it was nuts that other teams gave him opportunities after Detroit melt down. Like JOneil said it wasn't fair or right that he could basically screw their team up while knocking at the door for a championship, and go to the Lakers and get one. He too hated the guy but are now talking and Jermain believes in redemption?
I saw it. The best movie ever, and it's not close. Dragon Lives Again. The description "After his death, Bruce Lee finds himself in the underworld, where he teams up with Popeye, Caine (from Kung Fu), and the One-Armed Swordsman to battle “the Exorcist,” “the Godfather,” James Bond, Emmanuelle (the main character of a series of erotic films), Clint Eastwood (dressed as the Man with No Name), Zatoichi, and Dracula" Please do yourselves a favor and watch this one. All the parts are played by Chinese actors. Dubbed in horrible english as well. If you don't laugh we can't be friends
Beyond a Reasonable Doubt - Dana Andrews He plays a news man who wants to prove that a man can be wrongly convicted and given the death sentence for murder on strictly circumstantial evidence even though the man is innocent. The ending has a very surprising twist. Considered a brilliant film noir. 1955
