Let's say NBA does come back with some rinky dinky tournament in Vegas and we win it...

Will anybody care? Will we get a banner? Will the players get rings? Will there be a parade? If NBA does come back late summer, I want to know what we're playing for!

They'll be playing for the NBA's pocketbooks.

If we win the NBA championship with multiple asterisks, I'll count it every day of the week and twice on Sundays!

I've wanted them to win a championship as long as I've been watching them and I'm not going to complain one bit if they win it, no matter how invalid others think it is.

Our summer league team recently won the NBA championship, so I’d be counting this one, too.

It will not be considered a title in the same discussion as other years.

Another reason I think ultimately they'll cancel the season.

Be serious. Of course we will care - this town that goes nuts over winning the draft lottery would lose its mind over winning a championship - no matter how odd it might be to get.

The Spurs' title in '99 and the Heat in '12 counted, so why shouldn't this one? Because the break came at the end of the regular season instead of a delay at the beginning?

I'll guarantee that if the Lakers (god forbid) win it, nobody in the national media will asterisk anything.

    A social distancing parade, awesome.

On a related note, how many of the people saying to just end the season would have that same sentiment if the Blazers were in the hunt for home court advantage, rather than limping through a hugely frustrating season? Be honest.

Why would Portland be in it? If the regular season is over, Portland didn't finish in a playoff spot.

Maybe they do an expanded playoff thing? I know Dame's already been pushing for a chance to play-in, it seems like he had some support too.

Nobody should want this. LeBron not winning a championship is the best possible outcome for this season. No games, no Lakers winning.

I think it's much more likely they reduce to 8 or 12 teams than it is they increase beyond 16.

Its not just the players, there's coaches, staff, TV, families, hotel, food.

Each team probably ends up with over 100 people directly or indirectly needing to be physically in the area.

    Yes to rings and banner.

    No to parade.

Because if the Blazers were to win the championship it would be because of a hidden plan to take out the most liberal fan base with the NBA with the coronavirus.
