I may try again. AD I may have to try again too... I may have just not gotten the humor... I dunno. I watched about 6 episodes and I couldn't really get into it. But I definitely see the appeal.
I was the same way when I first tried P&R, I didn't like it at all. I ended up trying again, but starting with like episode 20 of season 2. It might be episode 18 or 19.. whichever one introduces Rob Lowe and Adam Scott's characters. The show needed those characters and became amazing after their arrival. Edit: just looked it up and it's actually episode 23 of season 2. I've since gone back and rewatched the show a few times now from the actual beginning but that episode is the beginning of the show actually being great.
I always think of AD like Napoleon Dynamite, the first time I watched the first three seasons I was mostly confused (there were definitely funny moments), but every time afterward you realize how much self-referencing it does, and how the writing is so subtle, it's my favorite show by far.
I like Napoleon Dynamite now! The first time I watched it, I have distinct memories of looking at my girlfriend at the time and saying, "What the **** was that?" It was until the 2nd time I appreciated it lol.
The News Hour, All In, Hardball, Meet the Press, The Global Public Square, KATU nightly news, The Deadliest Catch, Wheeler Dealers, Good Eats.
Holy shit. I just binged Devs on "FX on Hulu" all today. It's the best show I've seen in years. Highly recommend to all fans of Sci-fi, but especially if you've liked the creator of the show's other work (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Sunshine).
I watched season one of Westworld when it came out and wasn't blown away.. Just watched the first episode of season two and I'm not captivated. They're different shows but idk, it's just no where near as good as Devs in my opinion. But I've heard good things about season 3 of Westworld so I'll stick with it.
Have you been watching season 3? I think it is VERY interesting. The metaphysical philosophy behind it is very fascinating. Don't want to go into spoilers, but it is very interesting to see the world outside of the park. I think it all adds up to be honest!

I used to calibrate and repair the instruments used on Battlestar Galactica. I don't know what those idiots did but I had lots and lots of work repairing all the instruments they used for their backdrop. Yes, I single handedly kept that show going.
