Got nothing else going on, so why not look at all of these and say why we hate them.

Of course the Blazers are just a third-team throw-in on Cavs-Nuggets deal, making the "course-changing" swap of Ariza/Little for Barton (WHY?!). So rather than focus on that stupidity...which of these suggested deals do you think would actually make the most sense for the teams involved?

I've noticed that the articles that have been released recently, are so dumb. Like 74 best uniforms/players, etc.

Not the best time for sports media right now. Granted, the bar isn't set to terribly high in the first place...

Maybe I am stupid; but I would consider that trade. I think Barton is just hitting his prime. Good defender when motivated (playoffs?), decent rebounder (6.3), 3.7 assists and 1 steal a game, can play guard or SF. efg % .523 last year. Not sure if we can count on Hood for much this year coming back from achilles surgery.

Retitle: How to make every team in the NBA better, except the Blazers.

I would rather have Ariza or Little over Barton. Heck no.

Trading Little for 29 year old barton feels a little like trading barton for a 29 year old afflalo.

Here is another bleacher report idea

    Blazers trade CJ

Magic trade Fournier, Gordon and their First(15)

I had to think about that one but ultimately I would say yes to that one. I think we can use Fournier in a Evan turner role. He can actually shoot 3s so he would be awesome off the bench in that role. Aaron Gordon is someone I feel that need a new team, perhap a winning team. He’s a good all around forward. The only question is what would his role be. A starter next to Nurk at power forward or a backup forward. I think it be better if he was the starter if he can improve his 3 point shooting. We should use him similarly to how the Warriors use Draymond. And then you add that 1st round pick we can try to trade all of our picks and move up to maybe top 5 and get wiseman or Onyeka

I think Gordon would need to be the starting 4, with Zach as the first big off the bench and having a 3 man rotation.

That feels like a no-brainer to me. Start Trent at SG, Ariza at SF, Gordon at PF, Fournier at backup 2/3 (alongside Hood when healthy)--I'd be excited about that squad.

Which is why it would never happen.

I know you hate Aaron Gordon. We'll have to agree to disagree on that.

Disgusting. We need to add top end talent, not downgrade top end talent for more mediocre players. Also, Fournier has a player option so he probably wont be tradeable at draft time if he accepts, and wont be if he declines.

Why would we trade CJ for two pieces that are a downgrade from CJ, and a pick? Doesnt make sense.

A sub 30% 3pt shooter who isnt a good defender, and is only effective in transition and catching lobs? Sounds like a perfect fit for our team! /s

Screams mediocrity to me. One player that can create their own shot in the starting lineup? Less top end talent? Idk why people want to trade CJ for downgrades. Makes no sense to me.

Here is there latest trade idea for the Blazers. It is funny how the Blazers always come out as the losers in their trades. No way in HELL the blazers do this, but here it is.

    Zach and Ariza to Detroit

    Rose and Snell to Portland.

So Portland is trading there Starting small and power forward to Detroit for to bench players. Has Portland ever won a bleacherreport trade idea?

No kidding. Just once I'd like to see something like: Blazers trade CJ to Lakers, Lakers trade Anthony Davis to Portland. No less stupid than all of these lateral-at-best, more likely downgrade trades they always suggest for the Blazers.

Yeah that’s a dumb trade. If Portland were to trade their 2 starters on a normally playoff team in the very strong western conference for 2 bench players on a losing team in an even weaker eastern conference it would make Portland a lottery team which would make Damian request a trade meaning we would be a lottery team for a long time

Interesting, think I may do this. I'd prefer package that pick with maybe ours for win now help. I think Gordon just needs a change of teams to make a big improvement. Those who don't like Gordon I see why they would not be interested in this deal.

I tend to think Barton will decline significantly the next few years as his athleticism decreases. He then will be overpaid. He also has such an energy/junkyard game that I think it works much better in the regular season, while getting exposed in the playoffs. I'd rather keep Ariza for next season then be out of the contract. Little was better than I expected as a rookie so I'm interested if he has upside. I would certainly trade Little if it was a package for a starter, I don't view Barton as that. Also I don't think Barton felted undervalued here so it could be difficult to get 100% buy in and overcome those feelings with him coming back.
