    Hello darkness, my old friend
But is LeBron holding firm on his vow not to play games in front of empty stands?

Of course, but I hear he's contacted @THE HCP about borrowing his collection of blow-up "fans".

The new Hayward Field will be a great track venue! Not that the old one wasn't because it was one of a kind!
All Oregonians should be proud! lol

If that's your idea of inside info, that explains A LOT. :)

Social distancing, yo. One person per lane, none of this 8 lane nonsense.

The real question remains whether teams are gonna actually go to Orlando or just resume the season in their own arenas. Ringer was reporting own arenas is still in play. I’d argue that Orlando would make more sense if you’re jumping straight into the playoffs. Otherwise it would make more sense from a logistical/safety pov to have everyone in their own market. Players are gonna get restless in a campus environment and from what Jared Dudley was saying, they’re gonna have the freedom to go out. And they’re gonna go out. Easier to get players to chill in their own homes.

I'd think that the travel would be a big issue as far as scheduling goes. By having everyone in a campus environment, the games could be played closer together so that the season and playoffs could be compressed. I think some guys are going to go out, but when it's explained that they have to quarantine and can't play for two weeks if they test positive, you'd think that they'd get the idea that staying in is a pretty good idea.

here’s the thing about travel: they don’t fly commercial. If mlb is planning on having teams fly around, how would the NBA be any different? Genuine question because I don’t know.

I thought this was a legitimate point made by the As beat writer. I think it pertains to the NBA as well.

they also can accommodate at least 3 games simultaneously indoors as well as having broadcast facilities in each building. and i am pretty sure they could do two games at the wide world of sports complex. likely shorten the time required to complete season. teams have an average of 15 games each left, so, with a day off between games for each team figure a month. if it is four courts, then 4 games per court per day will do it i think.

I don't think the flying on private planes is that big of a deal in itself as far as virus exposure, but it takes time and that makes squeezing the schedule tougher. Couple that with time change and the fact that there's still going to be temptations to go out on the town, I just don't see any advantages to playing on home courts since there won't be crowds allowed at the arenas anyway.

You sure, because Silver brought up the theoretical idea of allowing a certain number of fans in. A month is a long time, a lot can change. I think it’s a large part of the reason they’re delaying any final decision on location.

And don't be surprised if that doesn't carry over to next season too.
