The news that shook up the internet and the entertainment industry last week. The Snyder Cut. Some say it is the return of the Snyder-verse. Are you excited like I am?

Don't mean to rain on your parade but no, I'm not excited by this at all.
I'm just not into this kind of fantasy.
I like action fantasy like the John Wick stuff and any Jason Statham movies, that is, stuff with really good payback. I guess if you've had bad luck in life with people mistreating you then you might go for my kind of fantasy.
When I was rather young I was a tiny kid and a lot of bigger kids picked on me. Now, I'm much bigger and at one time was much stronger than any of them. I've been in the Army, had judo in college and Tai Kwon Do also while in college so even though I'm really badly disabled I've got a confidence that sees me through anything, well, that and an ability to know that now a lot of bad guys could do me some serious damage so I'd better watch my step.
My wire grew up very poor and got mistreated because of that during the Korean War. She loves a good payback movie too even though we are no longer poor..
So, that's our go to fantasy movie type.

I like the Snyder films because of how dark and true to life they can be (as much as they can) in contrast to the Marvel stuff - which is just okay to me. Man of Steel was an immigrant story at the heart of it. Batman v Superman (Ultimate Edition) was also an incredible film with tons of ambition and bold decision making.

My son could talk for hours about this stuff...he's a .complete superhero nerd...I liked Man of Steel....couldn't watch Batman vs Superman because that whole concept doesn't make sense to me....Superman can stop the planet from spinning and bullets bounce off him...he can fly....Batman has cool cars and a tool belt...it's too much of a mismatch from the start

The DP, Fabian Wagner said the theatrical release had maybe 10% of the footage he shot with Zack. Zack estimates 25%. Zack says he never saw the theatrical release. So, somewhere between these two numbers.

I know Joss Whedon went in and refilmed a good portion of it.

Yes. I hated Justice League. Felt way too rushed with no character development.

I actually liked Batman vs Superman, which many people hated though.

DC tried to hurry what Marvel took years to do and they unsurprisingly failed

I thought the bad guy in Justice League was extremely weak. Bad animation as well.

Steppenwolf was weak as shit. All it took was Superman arriving to beat him. I really wanted to see them fight Darkseid.

I was so hoping that was going to happen in part 2 and Darkseid was going to use him like Batman saw in his visions

I loved it. Make sure you watch the Ultimate Edition. It's MUCH better than the theatrical release.
