Funny hearing Bonzi be all like "hell no!" like he (Rasheed) had no reason to apologize, and then Sheed's like "yeah man, I did. I shouldn't have done it" (tho there might be more to his "apology" in the rest of the show instead of this short clip).

The Look on Sabas face spoke a million words about Wallace. Such a lack of respect for a teammate on National TV.

I was always on Sheed’s side. Sabonis flops and pops his Sheed in the mouth. Where is Sabonis’ apology? Sheed was just frustrated.

Speaking of towels, remember Pippen attacking the stack of towels after game 3 or 4 of 2000 WCF?

...anyone else watch the full episode? Is there more to the story :dunno: if not, at least it sounds like Sheed has matured quite a bit since this incident so good on him.

So that's what it was about; Wallace gets hit inadvertently by a teammate. What a baby! I had always speculated that it was because he was frustrated that Sabonis wasn't more physical with Shaq. That I could respect a little, although how could anyone be more physical the way the refs were calling fouls on Shaq opponents?

That game was awesome. I wish I had been in the arena. And we won that game. Steve Kerr was on the team too and played well in OT if I recall. I was in Vegas watching on TV. Bonzi was on fire too.

That's dumb - it was a total accident. Sabonis probably didn't even know he'd done it and was completely blindsided by Sheed. I agree with Sheed NOW not Sheed then. There's probably a happy medium between your view and Bill Walton's.
(I didn't know 'Sheed chipped a tooth, though - see that link for details - along with Sabas saying "I will kill him." - that seems to confirm what Bonzi said in the clip)

He was a hothead, but never an asshole. As somebody said of Barkley - there are assholes that want you to think they're good guys, and then there are good guys who want you to think they're assholes. Barkley and Sheed were the latter (KG too, I think).

I disagree. He was an asshole because his selfish stupid tantrums hurt his team, over and over and over. Rinse-Repeat. I liked him a lot, at first, but got completely sick of his lack of self-control; was very happy when he was traded

You're discounting all he did to HELP the team. Why is he responsible for his temper but we can discount his ability, his unselfishness and his great defense?

He played with Sabonis, and Brian Grant and Damon and Pippen. Those guys did plenty to help the team too, but they didn't hurt the team as often as Rasheed did

you're free to forgive him for his absolutely crappy level of self-control....I won't. It was ridiculous and inexcusable

try this, go to the main page of basketball reference:

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/

in that search box at the top, type in "technical fouls" and see what comes up next....LOL....it's Rasheed

Rasheed isn't a bad dude. He was just a hot head who lacked self control. He did hurt his team. Most likely cost the Blazers a championship. Played right into the referees hands, especially Donaghy.

Sheed was very impassioned about basketball. He loved it. He saw his team getting cheated and he couldn't handle it.

I was sad to see him go. I knew that was the end of Portland's chances for a chip in that era. It was painful to see him win with Detroit, but I was also glad for him to get one. He seemed to control himself a bit better there, but it was a team of bad boys so it didn't matter. He fit in.

I knew Sharif Abdur Rahim would never pan out here. It was nice to have Theo, but the team was gutted and that was that.

That team should have been given another year together. They could have won, but once sheed was gone it was over. It all unfolded from there.
