The Me Too movement has hit wrestling this week, especially on the UK scene. David Starr was accused of rape, which he has kinda-sorta admitted to. This opened the flood gates of people telling their stories. The list is growing by the minute. The most prominent wrestlers accused are NXT stars Velveteen Dream (Patrick Clark) (grooming), Jack Gallagher (rape), Matt Riddle (rape), and Jordan Devlin (abuse); NJPW stars Chase Owens (abuse) and Michael Elgin (abuse); Impact star Joey Ryan (rape); AEW stars Jimmy Havoc (rape), Marc Quen (abuse), and announcer Justin Roberts (abuse); NWA star Marty Scurll (rape); and retired manager Jim Cornette and his wife, Stacey (rape). Jack Gallagher was released almost immediately by the WWE. He's been accused of raping an intoxicated woman. Several wrestlers and personalities have come forward to support the storytellers.
