Holy hell, that's a ridiculous schedule for us considering what it was supposed to be. NO has it made. League is desperate for Zion.
Kind of annoying that we get the Grizz the FIRST game. It would've been more exciting to have it the LAST.
Blazers schedule was: Grizzlies, Rockets, Mavericks, 76ers, Celtics, Nets, Lakers, Heat or Magic Now its Grizzlies, Celtics, Rockets, Nuggets, Clippers, 76ers, Mavericks, Nets So now we have to play the Celtics earlier, the Nuggets and Clippers who we didn't have to play and the easy games are at either ends....so no break from hard teams.
At first I didn't see your point, but then... Clippers and Jazz are the best two teams they face, and the Jazz will be without Bogdanovic. But on the other hand, the Kings were red hot before the lockdown, and they're playing them twice. Plus the Kings will be SUPER motivated. But on the other OTHER hand, most of the Kings team has had the coronavirus...
Thinking we'd have to go something like 7-1 to even have an outside shot at the play in. No way NO loses more than 2 or 3 games. I think it will end up as 8) NOP, 9) MEM, 10) POR
I mean, we kinda knew this going in. Unless all 30 teams were gonna go, this is how it would be. It's also one of the reasons why our team was the only one in support of the World Cup style tourney.
It's totally unfair but it's still ours to lose. These other teams are coming back with very similar teams to the ones they had before the break. While we are losing Ariza and that hurts a little, getting back Nurk and Zach is going to make us the best team out of NO, Memphis and us. So I actually think we have a great chance at winning all of our games, seriously 8 straight wins. We have a better team than any of the other Western conference teams vying for that last spot and we have so much more playoff and end of the season seeding experience than they do, maybe with the exception of the Spurs but we're a way better team than them. We're getting that eighth spot, I just thought we had a much better chance against whichever LA team is the first seed, when we had Ariza.
Did they, or did they just give us the schedule we essentially would have had had the season gone on?
