<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Jul 26 2007, 08:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>How you perform against the toughest teams in the most pressure packed games should not factor into how good you are overall...gotcha. Steve Smith played 14 games last year...with the extra 2 he would've had similar numbers to Harrison, but without the best QB in the game. He's also better after he catches the ball averaging 2-3 more yards after than Harrison does. Last year when he played a full season he had 400 more receiving yards(would be around 300 if Harrison had played another game), he was averaging another yard per catch and a whopping 5 more yards after the catch than Harrison was. He's also 28 while Harrison is not at a good football age at 35. So yeah, I'd say Smith is better going into this year. Smith and Harrison are also both better than Holt right now in his career. Fitz and Boldin are right up there too, but their numbers are a little down as they are two #1 receivers on the same team, had a rookie QB with the worst offensive line and a terrible coach last year.I wouldn't say Johnson is better than, but with the team he has you really can't judge by stats.Chad Johnson is pretty close to Harrison as well....</div>smith=only panther wide reciever

Oh, I'm not talking about their entire careers. I'm talking about at this moment, especially for preparing for my fantasy draft. [IMG] If you're saying careers then yes Harrison has been better overall...Not better than TO though, who's about the same age.Yeah, I know what my team's players can do, but good observations. I was just saying on a different team they'd bet putting up better numbers, at least in touchdowns. I'd rank them anywhere from 5-8 as receivers right now. Maybe better next year, hopefully.

I'd rather wait myself. I just go after my two running backs and then grab Fitz or Boldin. [IMG] I usually end up with good receivers, except for when I did a 20 teamer...that was terrible.

1.Owens2.Smith3.Harrison4.Chad Johnson5.Holt1.Harrison/Wayne2.Boldin/Fitz: Even with a rookie QB, a horrible o-line and a running game that just can't get it started, the passing offense of the Cards has been #1 or #2 the last couple seasons. It may have been #1 in both, but I don't remember. Both Fitz and Boldin are right behind Holt, but Bruce isn't a top 10 receiver and is farther from the pack.3.Chad/Housh:Chad is a little better than Holt imo and Housh caught 6 more TD's than Bruce in 2 less games. More youth here also so as Holt/Bruce decline these guys will keep going.4.Holt/Bruce5.Probably the Cowboys...I can't think of another team even though Glenn isn't that great.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SBoyd415 @ Jul 26 2007, 06:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>How about we all rank our top five WRs and top five WR duos? That way we'll know where everyone stands? Here's mine:1) Terrell Owens 2) Marvin Harrison 3) Torry Holt 4) Chad Johnson and 5) Steve Smith1) Harrsion/Wayne 2) 5) Holt/Bruce 3) Boldin/Fitzgerald 4) Johnson/Houshmandzadeh and 5) Owens/GlennPS- In my fantasy league I have 5th pick. I'm aiming for Frank Gore or Peyton Manning</div>They're drafting Frank Gore that early this year? Hmm...I need to catch up.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SBoyd415 @ Jul 26 2007, 06:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The only reason Issac Bruce isn't that far up the list like he used to be is because of his age. He's still a solid #2 option IMO. Terry Glenn is another solid #2 option (6 TD's last season) and Terrell Owens is probably the best WR in the league. The only part I really don't agree with is Boldin/Fitzgerald being that high. Both of them are really good, but you have to give them a little more time. You may be overrating them a little because they're on your favorite team.Third in rushing last year behind LT & LJ, and he's on a very underrated 49ers team. I think he's going to have a big season. And if I don't get him, Peyton Manning is always a safe bet.Off-Topic: Tim Lincecum throwing another great game. Make that 6-2 on the year with 100 K's in 92 innings pitched. Making a solid push for ROY...</div>Age matters...Bruce just isn't as good as he used to be and so the duo isn't as good as before.I gave good reasons for my choice right there. Boldin and Fitz right now are both quite a bit better than Bruce. I liked 2 and 3 over 1 and 4.

I know...it's because they have a rushing game while the holes in our o-line close a couple seconds after the snap. :-/ They averaged like 30 more rush yards per game and Jackson had like 10 more TD's than Edge.
