Pretty much the same mutt as me except I may have some English in me. My history goes back into the rural South so nobody's sure. I really need to get a test but don't know where to go.

My four grandparents all emigrated from Eastern Europe so I don't have any Native American lineage. Slovenian, Russian, Polish but they all spoke Yiddish as first language.

Growing up, our parents would switch to Yiddish when they wanted to talk about something they didn't want us to know about.

I went to high school with lots of Jewish kids. They were excellent students and seemed to come from wealthy families. Didn't really pal around with them so I learned all my Yiddish, which is not much, from conversation I've seen and heard here and there.

I come from poor Jews. My parents were able to attend college and become teachers but we sure weren't rich.

Grandparents worked in garment industry. Nothing like sweatshops for turning people into radicals.

My Atlanta grandmother worked making Arrow shirts in Georgia. She was far from a radical. Not enough gumption to protest anything.
My mother thought we might have some of the Spiegel family blood in us. Her mom was born in a Spiegel household where she was raised as a small child. I don't believe it's true but you never know.

If there is a nicer curse in any language - I am not familiar with it.

Not sure where I have heard this first - but when I was told what it is - I was delighted. Such a creative way to curse someone.
