Why can't you stick to the content posted? Care to comment on the video? Instead of the poster of said video? No that would be crazy. HCP trying to have a discussion? Instead of trying to stir the pot? Like he did in the other thread I posted the video in? You also made a comment to sly in a DM that you'd ignore certain people. Sha'll I go and find where you made it obvious I'm one of those people? It's in the thread you just posted in. Make sure you run and delete the post. That way a mod has to come in again and publicly announce you made certain statements... For the 3rd time. I posted a video that you've yet to respond to. Instead you make sure to find both posts I made and skew the words to try and piss someone off.
I'm just going to keep quoting myself to anything you post from here on out. You don't deserve more thought than that until you prove you can have a discussion. Not attack the poster.
It's been good chatting with you again. Your cheery disposition has truly been missed around here. Even though you said you have "no respect for ANYONE on this website", I'm sure a couple on here have missed you.
It is my experience in life and in forum posts that when you try to provoke a reaction you don't get to pick the reaction that is provoked. You posted a video and IMO you didn't post it to start a discussion or debate but instead to make some point and provoke reactions. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Again, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. It's something that I do myself. But, and again, this is just my opinion, the problem is you are upset that you aren't getting the reaction you desired.
I've missed him. I did enjoy meeting him when he played for the RC2 3 on 3 team. The dude gave everything he had out on the court. Much respect. No fear of throwing his body around on the court and took some hard knocks for it.
Yes I expected to get a reaction about the video and police violence. Instead because it was ME who posted in. Or the offending police officer wasn't white. The video got lost in the shuffle again. I'm not upset about the reaction from @THE HCP . I'm just disappointed to be proven right.
I think it is hard to have a discussion because no one knows what the fuck you are talking about half the time. Take this video and commentary for example. I'm guessing you posted it because the officers are black and the victim is blank and gosh darn why aren't we talking about black cops killing black people or something like that? It's all nebulous and VERY personal for you. All about history in which someone didn't answer right or abide by your rules... And I know I said I'd lay off you, but I feel like biblical Job or something. THIS IS LIKE TORTURE reading these petulant posts with footstomping and doorslamming and weak little jabs all over the place. Dude, your struggle with this is unique to you, I think. And I'm not sure your temperament is made for online discussions. Because discussions are better without all the hurt feelings and emotions and I'm not playing with you anymore and all that stuff. Just be cool and people will be cool to you.
So that's what you want us to take from that? The person who posted wasn't making that point. Her post is getting national media attention. https://www.newsweek.com/video-shows-police-officer-choking-man-cvs-1517521 Are you trying to say that because the officer is black he is somehow getting a pass? I don't think that is the case but if so I think everyone will agree that should never be the case. Since this does seem to be a concern to you I invite you to follow the DA race in LA. The current DA, who is running for reelection is the first black person ever elected to that position in LA. Many black people in LA are not supporting her reelection, instead campaigning for the white man running against her. Even though she is a woman of color many in the community feel she has been too supportive of the police instead of the community she was elected to serve. Many black people are looking beyond skin color and instead looking at the actions and positions of the people running for office. Which I do believe is something that you're advocating for.
This thread would do far better if you had some statistics to back it up else one might think it was a cop randomly gone bad. Show us the systemic problem.
The thing I would take from the video and recent events elsewhere is that it’s pretty obvious that cops are trained, formally or informally, to use choke holds to subdue people and that they don’t expect to be called on the carpet for doing so.
Thanks for deleting my last post. The point I was making was when you posted that meme of me stating I had Black friends, while everyone around was laughing and making fun in disbelief. Was it your intent to provoke a reaction from me....or were you just trying to be funny at my expense?
Huh? Today? I didn't delete any post. Which thread was this black friends meme in. I'm not remembering this. Let me go look at what happened so I can give you an accurate answer.
