swear to god, this is a true story: I had been working with a friend of mine who was trying to arrange lodging in a nursing home for his elderly mother who needed care. I was riding with him and he made a stop to do some paperwork at a nursing home in Dallas, Or I went in just to look around the place while he was in the office. I was standing in the hall...it was probably 8 feet wide...and an old guy who looked like he was 98 was slowly moving down the hall using a walker. As he was getting close to passing by me he farted loudly a couple of times. He looked over at me with an unapologetic grin on his face, chuckling a little. I looked at him, and I asked him "is that still funny at your age?" he grinned a little wider and said "it never loses the magic" that was one of the highlights of the year for me and I still can see his grin 20 years later. I hope I can fart while walking down a hall when I'm 98
being a Duck fan I would really like to see a football season. I think the Ducks could be really good, especially on defense. And I don't like the idea that a cancelled season could mean we've seen the last of Penei Sewell, and others like Jevon Holland, as Ducks. If Tyler Shough lives up to his potential, the Ducks could be BCS-level-good (and Oregon is going to have trouble hanging onto Andy Avalos; he's going to be a head coach pretty soon) but the Covid logistics of a college football season dwarf those of the NBA. The Ducks are scheduled to play at Boulder, Berkley, Tuscon, & Pullman, besides Corvallis. That's 110 players, coaches, trainers, staff, etc crammed into jets for 2-4 hours breathing re-circulated air; taking buses from the airport to a hotel; staying in the hotel and getting fed; taking buses from the hotel to the stadium; cramming into a locker room; playing a game; back to the locker room to shower and change; back onto a bus to the airport; and back on a plane for a 2-4 hour flight home. The potential virus vectors for just one road game are mind-boggling it may be that the Pac-12 season will start. I'd be pretty surprised if it finishes
I know they could be very good and I do think Shough will deliver, he seems very versatile, smart and competitive. We'll see. If they elect to push the season out to spring I wonder if Penei or other projected seniors juniors would play? I guess we'll find out real soon when and if they start but your comment about them possibly not finishing the season, is real too.
Completed the framing but the miscellaneous portions will take another few weeks. Has to be complete before the season starts. Working on a way to hang the panels????
