He saved this organization for years. It's over. I believe Shesterkin could have played each of the first two games. If by miracle he couldn't, what a slap in the face of Georgiev who was way better than Lundqvist all season. How this organization came back with people running it who are complete dumb fucks is mind boggling.

I don't fully disagree with your thoughts on this. The whole thing does seem a bit odd to me. But we'll never know for sure. I will say this, I cannot see Hank starting tomorrow night. Either Shes is in if he's ready, or I have to think Georgiev plays over Hank. This is Hank's goodbye and ride off into the sunset. Today most likely was the last time you will see Hank play in a Rangers uniform I believe. Thanks for all you have done Hank. Great career, but it's over as a Ranger, and it's time to move on. Someday your # 30 will be hanging from the rafters of MSG.

And for the love of God this has to be Smith's last game coming up in a Ranger jersey.

Personally, I think they should let Miller start with the big club next season. They said he looked great in practice the past 2 weeks. Put him in.

    Miller/Trouba
    Lindgren/Fox
    Staal/DeAngelo

There's your 6. Figure Hank and Smith are gone. I think Staal plays out his last season. Go get a legit # 2 C OR if you keep Strome, we have to add some more forward depth. And give Kravtsov a shot in the top 9 with Chytil and maybe Gauthier.

    Kreider/Ziban/Buch
    Panarin/# 2 C/Kakko
    Gauthier/Chytil/Kravtsov
    Lemieux/Howden/kid

Barron seems like a good candidate for that 4th line opening. How about a player with the initials A.L. for that #2C spot?(we should be so lucky) :cool2:

Smith is a heaping pile of dog shit and Quinn has been in love with him all season. Makes me question his long term future as the coach of this team. Hank lost this game for the Rangers. Period. His first and second goals were soft. Both should have been stopped. He's put the team behind early in both games this series. He's not any good. Sad but this is what happens when you get old in pro sports.

I mean at this point with the way the team is a chinese fire drill offensively, they may as well just let him finish it out. Hard to see them winning three in a row even if Shesterkin plays. He'd have to have like a 1.07 GAA. lol

Essentially what the retards running this organization did is the equivalent of a baseball team starting their two shittiest starting pitchers the first two games in a 5 game series. Unacceptable.

Don’t think that they will but I wouldn’t mind starting the season also with miller up with the big team if he shows he’s ready in camp and preseason games.

I still get pissed with playoff loses but I did not expect them to win this series with their lack of experience. However, starting the third best goalie on this team the fist 2 games is unacceptable. That being said, maybe they will step in it with the draft lottery again. Not holding my breath on the draft lottery working out again. I do think one draft that had us taking a righty defenseman with our top pick in Schneider is possible. I believe TDA will be moved to wing following next year. His offensive skills are elite and Lundkvist is just too good to not have on defenseman core. Either that or they deal TDA. Schneider is a bigger, more physical version of Lindgren. We need more guys who can keep the puck out of our net. We are righty rich on defense but their are issues there. TDA, Fox and Lundkvist are all 5'11 or shorter. TDA defensively is not ever going to be that solid. Trouba signing is starting to look like a mistake.

Let's face it. Our forwards still need help on wing. Buchnevich I would sell high on now. I just don't see a good playoff player there. We need a much better second center than Strome. So if there is a deal out there moving Buchnevich, Strome and a d prospect like Hajek for a legit, fairly young second center, that deal must be done.

Man, if ever they could use a Lafreniere to round things out with our forwards, i wouldn't ask for anymore gifts from the hockey gods for awhile. He could step right in at 825k on the 2nd line. Of course 7 other teams will be desperately hoping the same thing. Would help our cap with all the limits over the next few years.

They need a couple vets on the team. They have enough kids. This is how teams turn into Buffalo or Edmonton, they have too many young players with no veteran support

That's true, but if we're going to be in the lottery anyway. I don't know that they'll trade for an older vet right now but next year maybe another under 30 player to add to the core at a position like C as people have said.
