I was going to like your comment because I totally agree but I just couldn't bring myself to associate this likelihood with the word like because I definitely don't like it.

I agree but with the way Olshey operates with his dogmatic loyalties and the fact that this season was severely impacted by injuries, I just don't see any way it happens. I know everyone doesn't agree with this but I also think we should move CJ (he's a great player and seemingly a better person but not a fit next to Dame) whatever the best deal we can get for him that makes the most sense when considering both finances and personnel. I especially think this because Gary seems like a perfect fit next to Dame if we can find more scoring at the 3 spot. This also will not happen because of Olshey's qualities previously mentioned, also because Olshey may have killed CJ's trade value with that far too generous contract.

3pa is more closely related to scheme than anything else.

For example, the Bucks deep drop and help at the nail. Also don't switch much at all.

Toronto will get more aggressive with their bigs and switch more often but still primarily a drop team and also give a lot of nail help.

And %'s can only be controlled to certain extent but top teams are definitely better contesting and allowing 3's to the right guys. Also force teams to play later in the clock than we do.

If I had my way, against a middle spread pick and roll (meaning one wing lifted above the break), I'd drop the big and send the ball handler towards the "two side",bring help near the nail from the guy guarding the player above the break and have the corner defender come up a bit higher and split the two.

In my opinion, that gives you the best chance to both protect the rim and deter the ball handler. Also a shorter rotation if kicked out to 3.
