By the way, Yes! CJ had a tough game. But if the Blazers are to win going forward, he will have to turn it around. And i think he will Thursday. Let's have his back. Dame does, his teammates do as well.

3 60+ point games in one season.

Only Wilt and Dame on that list. Holy fuck.

I said I won't discuss personnel movement until after the season is over for us and I won't. However the problem is that Stotts won't stop playing him and the entire franchise seems to look past all of his glaring weaknesses. I think CJ seems like one of the best guys you could meet. He seems really smart. The guy gives a lot of effort on offense (not the right kind of effort for what we need but still a lot of effort). He is woefully lacking as a guard defensively and asking someone who would be a terrible, smallish, too slow defensive one to defend twos is just fucking stupid. I will not talk about the contract that is already signed or possible trades at this time. The only logical thing right now is to bring CJ off the bench as instant offense. It's the only thing that makes sense. Dame, Gary, Melo, Zach and Nurk is the starting lineup that makes sense for next game, the play-in game (hopefully not games) and the playoffs. Stotts needs to pull his head out of his ass and realize that Gary is the way to go at shooting guard... don't bench Melo, don't bench Zach, just give our bench some offensive punch and make CJ the sixth man.

I think just about everyone here would agree with your assessment.

CJ could be like John Havlicek for us. It would be a perfect role. Like Lou Williams with the Clitters.

I liked the adjustment at half to start Trent in the second half and bring Zach off the bench. I think that actually should be the starting lineup.

    big step forward

But Blazers still need that win against Brooklyn. If Blazers lose and two of Memphis, Phoenix, Spurs win, Blazers are on vacation

I'd prefer Nurk/Zach/Melo/Trent/Dame with CJ as the main 6th man off the bench. Won't happen, but I'd like to see that.

Hard to dispute that. However, I still say Bill Walton was the best trail blazer for one season. He could do it all.

It was better but it was not the correct adjustment. Make no mistake about it Stotts' dogmatic loyalty and his stubborn overestimate of CJ is what almost cost us that game. I know CJ got those free throws and I am greatful but he was our worst player that got a minute tonight. With the exception of those free throws, every minute CJ played was bad for us... I don't like +/- but his -25 tonight was a great measure of what he did to us.

Agree and you will piss Dame if you trade him.
